Served our needs

Overall our stay was good! We had no information about not having any control of the HVAC systems which the temperature was fine we had no need to change the temperature there was just no way to get any air flow through the house none of the windows would open for fresh air. The bathroom gets very humid and towels start to smell. We could have used more towels for our stay. We were going to use the dishwasher on last night but there was no dishwasher detergent. We had no problem hand washing our dishes could have used dish towels or drying rack though. Could not have asked for a better neighborhood quiet and friendly. Everyone we had contact with in Waycross were very friendly helpful people great place to stay!

Nice older home.

It's an older home in a quiet neighborhood. It was easy to get to stores and resturants. Liked the large living room w/plenty of room everyone to sit. All the appliances worked and the beds were comfortable. Was told to text when 30 mins.out for code for house. Texted at 40mins.so my daughter who had already arrived could get inthe house

House smelled really musty and wasn’t very clean

The house had a very nasty musty smell and the bathroom smelled like urine and was nasty. The house wasn’t comfortable because everything was dusty and had locks on it. It felt uneasy but the hostess was very nice I think she should hire somebody professional to do a deep clean to the home because the smell was very overwhelming and it just made us feel dirty with the bathroom smell and the urine smell so strongly around the toilet and brown stains over the old tile showing around the new tile.

Just Like Home

A cozy cottage! The living room is spacious and the reclining furniture was very comfortable. The galley kitchen was well stocked, and the single serve coffee maker came with some k-cups! The bathroom is small, which is to be expected with an older home. The original hardwood floors were well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and high off the floor. Pack a night light or two if someone in your group has to get up during the night. All in a quiet neighborhood, which is convenient to Plant Ave and Memorial Drive. Expect an occasional freight train about two blocks away, a common mode of tea for Waycross. The hostess was easy to contact and responded quickly.

We really enjoyed the house. It was wonderful, better than it showed on-line. Will highly recommend. Had a little problem checking in on-line, but otherwise was great.

Perfect get away home

We truly enjoyed our time in this property. The check in was a little different but once we got that all straight it was such an enjoyable stay. The house was beautiful and the porch seing added that perfect touch. I would definitely book another stay here in the future.

Waycross Adventures

We enjoyed our stay. The check in process is unique but it was all good once we got there and saw the property. The home was very clean and the perfect location as it is Sinclair the so much. We checked out the near by islands okee swamp park and reserve. Jekyll island savannah driftwood beach and got some awesome pics. The beds were cozy and the sofas are awesome. I would rent from them again

Great Staycation

My girlfriends and I used this home to celebrate my besties birthday and have an adult slumber party. The floorplan of the home was great. Plenty of common space to entertain and dine. The back patio and sunroom was very nice; we wished we had utilized it more, but the mosquitoes were brutal. The beds were super comfortable and we slept well, the few hours we slept. :) The check in process was unique to others VRBOs, but it all worked out. The thermostat is controlled remotely, however Alicia was very responsive to any changes we needed. I'm pretty confident there was another tenant on the other side of the wall, but it didn't bother us. If that gives you the creeps, then that's something to consider. Overall, we had a great night and plan to book again.

Beautifully renovated older home

A great location to stay while visiting Okefenokee Swamp and safe place for an evening walk. A very comfortable small home and the host was quickly responsive to all inquiries.

A deep cleaning is needed!

Great location. It definitely needs cleaned from top to bottom! I was able to clean mold from around the bathtub, so it was doable. not enough utensils for 6 people. Housekeeper didn't drop off extra towels as requested, and requested toilet paper roll was partially used. This property has great potential, but, it has a ways to go before getting there. sometimes "do it yourself" renovations don't work out well.

Great place to stay

The house looked exactly like the photos which was a plus for me because I have stayed at several places in the past and the photos did not match. I was amazed by the decor. Alicia really outdid herself with that. I even gathered a few ideas for when I return back home. The kitchen came equipped with everything you need from the utensils to the pots n pans. The beds were comfortable and cozy. And I must say the outside sunroom was an amazing bonus because it gave me that sense of peace while I relaxed and read my book(I love to read). And I cannot forget about how the neighborhood was quiet and how the neighbors were very friendly as I walked my dog down to the park. Overall, everything was just great! Alicia was a great host! If you’re looking for a clean, well decorated, and a host that will communicate well with you and quickly, I would definitely recommend this stay.

Short stay

We were only in the area for one night. The house was very clean and nicely decorated. It is in a quiet area. The only issue was the bedrooms did not have shades on the windows. There were curtains, but they are see through curtains. There really needs to be shades or blinds for privacy.

Very Nice quite and peacefull

This was such a pleasant and Welcoming home ! We enjoyed every minute of our stay ! The beds were nice and comfortable !The rooms were large and we loved the character the home brings ! This was absolutely prefect for our family ! We enjoyed the outdoor space and the sunset room with a Tv and air conditioning ! We grilled on the out door patio, while our kids enjoyed the neighborhood park. This is such a quiet, nice, and friendly neighborhood ! Alicia is a Awesome host ! She allowed us to check in early and do a same day booking ! We are so Grateful for Alicia and her wonderful hospitality ! We will definitely stay here again !

Comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood

My hubby and I stayed for 8 days on a vaca out of cold north. Beautiful weather for February. We are retired and don’t need to keep busy all of the time so Waycross was perfect for us. All the stores and restaurants you would want. The house was quaint - like stepping back in time but the owner has worked hard to bring it up into the 21st century. All the furniture was very comfortable. I would mention that there are just a few 3 prong electric outlets - but enough for our needs. The owner is still working at getting the kitchen fully stocked but the dishes and cookware are very nice. A lot of people today don’t stay as long as we did and probably eat out a lot so kitchen is more than adequate for that scenario. We feel it was definitely worth the $$ and way, way better than being in a cramped hotel room which would cost a lot more money.

You want to read this before booking

When initially booking this location, communication with the host was great! After paying and before check-in is when the red flags began starting with this statement in the check-in directions: "You may see a young lady car parked on the other side of the house. Please don’t be alarm 🚨, she is going to the back of the home on the other side 😊" WHAT???? Please, read on. After a troubled nights sleep on a mattress that had me and my husband rolling into the middle of the bed all night, the next day, I sent this message to the host: "Around 3:30 this afternoon, a police officer came by the house. We were able to tell him we were renting and didn't know anything about anything. He did not tell us why he was there. It was rather unsettling." The reply: "We spoke to the police and they stated that they were looking for someone who entered the area and they have picked them up. We are so sorry this happen it really is a safe area...." Around 2am, I respond to the host with the following: "The lady is in the front of the house yard, yelling and fussing. The dogs in the neighborhood are all barking. With the police earlier and now there are cars pulling up outside, this is completely terrifying!" No room more details so I will sum up with this - the listing is NOT honest. The rental is OCCUPIED divided in two, there are also two campers outside connected to the house. Inside was clean but there is NO closet space, they are all locked. The double beds are actually twins.

Great Stay

The overall experience was exceptional, from start to finish. The property is perfectly and centrally located. The accommodations were comfortable and worked well for our family of five. The owner was responsive to all communication within minutes, and the check-in and checkout procedure was clear and easy. Will definitely come back when I visit my Waycross family again.

Cute home …..

Cute and clean home in a decent neighborhood. There were a few individuals out walking around the neighborhood smoking weed, didn’t bother us but could be an issue for others . Communication with the owners was wonderful, she was very responsive and thoughtful. There were home repairs in work (cabinets in the kitchen for example) but they were still operational and clean . Appreciated that the owners are continually updating the property. The one thing that we found odd was that there was not a thermostat in the unit , we had to contact the owners and they responded right away but we couldn’t control it ourselves. We would stay again !!!

Very welcoming and peaceful

From the moment we walked in, it just felt like home. The decorations were warm and inviting, and the living/sleeping spaces were spacious. It smelled wonderful. There were surprise additions, like coffee/maker, creamer, shampoo and soap if it was needed. We stayed for a short time because we were visiting for a purpose, but when we return for a longer stay, we will definitely consider this as an option!

Nice house is a nice quiet area. Check in is at 4, however was not let in until 7:30 pm. The owner messaged to ask when we’d arrive to let them know 1/2 hour prior. When I did that, she told me it would be another hour until it would be ready. I tried to call but no answer and no reply to my message here until AFTER the housekeeper let me in. I’m disabled and the extra hour wait was really uncomfortable for me. The house itself was generally clean. Inside of the microwave and also the refrigerator door were obviously dirty and needed to be wiped down. A bowl I pulled down from the cabinet was also dirty inside. I feel with some work this property might be a good one. The bed was extremely high for someone who is disabled. The other part of the property that we did not like was the add-on in the back. It looks like it is cut off from the rest of the house but also looks like someone was possibly living there. My husband is a war veteran and felt very uncomfortable when the owner told us that someone would be walking around back there. It should also be noted that there is a train very close by. If you take the way your GPS tells you, you may be sitting there for over 20 minutes waiting for the train to pass. The train can also be heard during the night from the bedroom.

Perfect spot in Waycross

We were visiting family and were surprised to see the accuracy of the listing (we have stayed at several that misrepresent). It was centrally located, cute & quiet neighborhood, great kids park nearby and overall a great place! Owner was super responsive and accommodating. House was well stocked (dishes, utensils, blankets, air mattress, linens, etc). Definitely will stay every time we are in Waycross!
