This is by far one of the BEST places to stay when you are in the Waynesville area. The hosts are excellent and very hospitable! The place is super clean and you can tell that they put so much thought and care into it. We enjoy the little touches all throughout the place that make it super cozy. It's really like a home away from home and we can't wait to book another stay. It's in a super quiet location and the hot tub is an added plus! You can't go wrong with staying here. 10/10 highly recommend - we miss it already!

Home away from home!

I have never been as comfortable at a VRBO than we were at Bear’s Rest. We live in North Carolina on a mountain, so we loved and appreciated the cabin feel and decor. Everything was top notch. The location was perfect, close proximity to our family, restaurants, and groceries but quiet and restful. We hope to be able to visit Bear’s Rest again!

Great fall getaway

The Bears Rest is a perfect cabin to escape from the rest of the world’s noise. So comfortable and easily accessed, we loved staying there!

Super cozy, peaceful, lovely home

I met two friends for the weekend here and we had a grand time. The house was perfect, the beds were big and comfortable, kitchen is modern, it has two bathrooms, the details are creative, and bears are EVERYWHERE! We enjoyed the hot tub and TV viewing options. I can’t say enough good things about this place, the owners were very accommodating, it comes highly recommended.

Winter weekend away

A nice weekend getaway

The cabin was clean and nicely decorated. The cabin had a woodsy feel but was close to restaurants and grocery stores. Not far from the Golden Lamb.

Friends reunion

Perfect location. A few minutes to business area filled with restaurant retail and eating places, but then you get to tuck in your little cabin. Weather permitting, sit on the deck and watch nature or hit the hot tub! Dry clean and well appointed.

Lovely Cabin

Cleanliness is at the top of our priorities when it comes to staying overnight anywhere and this cabin was flawless. We loved the Bear vibe even though we were not at the cabin for very long. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to friends.
