"An amazing location that is private and serene, yet close enough to Mystic, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun if you want to leave the cottage. We had our senior dog with us. He loved it there. We spent nights in the hot tub, by the firepit or watching movies on their big screen TV. We dined at some outstanding restaurants nearby. Went for a hike at Bluffpoint with our dog. Kayaked, fished and swam to our hearts content! Oh, and Ziplined at Foxwoods! It was truly a wonderful vacation. Just wish it was...

You can park your car and walk everywhere. Parking in Mystic has always been a problem, however now there is a huge parking lot at the end of Cottrel Street."

"The beds are comfortable and it is quiet at night. The house is in a complex with several other houses but that was not a problem. When we arrived we had some issues with the house but the owner is very responsive and addressed them immediately. The house has air condtioning throughout. There are at least 3 windows in the house that don’t stay open (they fall down immediately). They require a stick to prop open. "We highly recommend Hemingway Retreat and we will definitely be staying here again. The cottage is clean, cosy, comfortable and has a nice ambiance. Caitlin has provided some snacks, sodas and water as well as a Keuring coffee maker and a variety of coffee. The property is quiet and is only a short walk to town, (sidewalks all of the way) which during the busy season alleviates trying to find parking. Walking at night felt very safe.
