Great stay
Owner met us at the property and showed us how everything worked at the house and then we stayed for 3 nights it was an amazing place the sauna was incredible. Place was clean and great area to reach everything you want to do.

Quick trip - made memories!
We brought our kids and grandkids to Mt Hood to try snowboarding for the first time after Christmas. There are 15 of us so finding a place large enough, nice enough, and available for just 2 nights was a challenge. Exec in Foothills came through for us and we had a blast! The home is large, well appointed, very comfortable. There was plenty of parking for our 5 rigs. Our hosts were a most gracious and welcoming family, they made all of us feel comfortable right away.

Interesting and Spacious
We had a nice stay over the Christmas holiday. The home is very spacious with lots of amenities (hot tub, sauna, wood fireplace, etc.) Communication was very easy and the owners were very responsive.

Beautiful home needs Needs Attention
Meeting the owners at the house and talking with them seemed it was to be a good stay for our annual family get together, but that was far from the expectation. The house was extremely dusty and dirty in areas not able to see on a walk through. We didn't have hot water first morning for showers upon calling the owners was told to hit a relay switch on the hot water heater as it does this sometimes. No its all the time and needs repaired we had to reset it numerous times anytime we needed hot water.The place where the hot water heater is located is disgusting. The heating and air unit is located there as well and looking at it the filters haven't been changed in a long time in fact they were collapsed and hardly working. There were mice and rat traps that had dead ones in them. We all ended up sick with respiratory issues. House at one time was nice, but it is no longer. It needs a lot to make it nice again. Not recommending this to anybody. Very disappointing for the amount of money paid.

We do not want to take chances and since then we have changed cleaning contractor and I am sure we can make all our guests have a pleasant stay .

Well it was nice but too expensive. I tried to cancel part of reservation and Owner made me negotiate to have only some days of my stay canceled. I was surprised by this required negation instead of cancelation.

perfect for multi family gathering
We planned a weekend with family members from four different households, staying together and enjoying winter activities on the mountain, and this place was absolutely perfect for the group. The little kids called it the “mansion.” Plus the host was very welcoming and accommodating.

Very disappointed..
Let us start with the good things about the house. There were plenty of towels, the sauna worked. That’s it. The Jacuzzi was disgustingly dirty, you couldn’t see the bottom. We didn’t use it because it was so dirty. Decided to fill up the indoor jacuzzi tub for the kids at least to have a little fun. The water coming out from jets was brown. Didn’t use that. The heating in the house didn’t heat the house evenly. The house is very dirty. I’m not talking about dirt in the corners I’m talking about the dust on the ceilings and the windowsills and the molding. The house is old with chipping paint, old pipes, old vents, cracked molding everywhere. Old furniture. There’s a lot of repairs that need to be done. Half of the outlets we tried didn’t work. The entire group of people who stay in the house develops allergy like symptoms, runny eyes, itchy nose, sneezing. I have a suspicion there is mold in the house. The little children in our party would wake up with puffy eyes and swollen faces. The family with the youngest baby in the group had to leave a day early to take their child to urgent care to treat the allergies their child developed from this house. The kitchen was fine. The dryer was broken and needed pliers to turn on every time. I can go on and on. Would never rent this house again.

While I was handing over our house after initial walk through with guests I have noticed unusual number of large groups of children ( more then 5 children booked ). I may not know what type of fever they brought because of such large number of children.

WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE
WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY. THE HOSTS WERE VERY FRIENDLY, TOOK THE TME TO MEET US AND WALK THROUGH THE HOUSE WITH US. THEY MADE IT VERY CLEAR TO REACH OUT TO THEM IF WE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR ISSUES. THE HOUSE WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND PROVIDED MANY AMENITIES. THEY INCLUDED A HOT TUB, POOL TABLE AND SAUNA. EVERYTHING WORKED. THE HOME IS IDEAL FOR LARGE PARTIES. I HIGHLY REOCMM,END STAYING AT THIS HOME.

The home was so nice and secluded with tons of space. There were a few dings here and there from previous guests, but nothing major of note that took away from the experience and the hosts made sure to point them out which I found very respectable. Would definitely come back for another visit!

Very large house with convenient location
First off, the owner is amazing at responding quickly to texts and answering questions. The house is huge with lots of room to spread out. It is located about 15 minutes from Ski bowl and all its activities. There is also a Thriftway very close by and we enjoyed the local pizza place as well. The kitchen is equipped very well with lots of dishes, pots, pans, and anything else you might need. The house does show some wear and tear and would probably benefit from some updates, but overall it is very comfortable and you can tell the owners put a lot of themselves into it.

Our family, friends and kids stayed at this house for few days. Everyone had lots of fun. Owner of the house were kind enough to drive to the property and gave us a walk-through. House has plenty of space, generous sized bedrooms and bathrooms, adequately equipped kitchen. For Cons- most of the doors need to be repaired, But overall, our stay was memorable.

Great location and huge house
Overall, our family enjoyed the long weekend at the house. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was a good size for cooking for a large group. The only downside is that the house seemed in need of some repairs. There were pocket doors that only adults could close because of how sticky they were, some doorknobs that were extremely loose, and some fairly large stains on the carpets. I don't regret bringing my extended family here, but it could use some TLC.

Parts of house including glass door downstairs not shutting all the way Pool table was old and patched The “extra guest fee” was considerable, and we expected more of a “resort” experience For a large group ok with sleeper sofas and bunk beds, this would be a decent value. The 3 teenagers shared one large room downstairs with 3 queen beds.

Incredible Mt. Hood Mansion
Our family celebrated a reunion (post-COVID) at this beautiful home. The pictures don't do it justice as it is even more incredible in person! The house is massive with everything you could ever need. Most importantly, the homeowners are lovely people. They catered to our specific needs and welcomed us when we arrived. Overall, If you are looking for a large home on Mt. Hood, look no further. You won't be disappointed with this property!

Very clean. None of that grit that one might find at other rentals. Sheets and towels smelled as fresh as I've experienced. We chose this nice big place just in case we wanted to enjoy the indoors. But we were so close to scenic areas that we spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors. The house needs some repairs, but that was easily overlooked and we were able to completely enjoy the house.

Very relaxing
My spouse and another couple had the pleasure of spending four days here. Obviously it was far more house than the four of us needed, but we had a wonderful time. The house has a lot of charm, and all facilities were working for our stay. The hot tub and sauna were hot and the house was very warm. We spent most of our time in the living room in front of the fireplace on what must be the world's most comfortable couch. While there are a lot of small things that a more discerning group may feel the need to nitpick, if you take the entire house at face value I can promise you're going to have an enjoyable experience.

Spacious Home
This home was clean and it is so spacious! It works great when you're with a larger crowd. There is room to all sit for dinner but also room to be separated from everyone. We all had our own rooms. And we really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. Was nice to have on a cold weekend. The owners were very nice and responsive. They answered all our questions very timely. The location is also great, close enough to the mountains and to the cities where you can find groceries and restaurants.

Very disappointed in this property
This house was in such disrepair and very dirty. The furnishing were very old except for one sectional in the living room. Outside hot tub wouldn't hold water, jets in master jacuzzi won't stay on unless you hold your finger on the button, 5th bedroom was part of the walk-in closet in master bath. pool table surface had multiple rips patched with duct tape, no dry firewood for fireplace, display for heater in master bdrm was broken, piles of leftover shampoos in showers, curtains falling off the rods, sliding doors were extremely hard to open and shut, lacking sufficient smoke detectors, excessive amount of rugs everywhere, huge tripping hazards, broken window in dining room We were so looking forward to a family weekend with our 2 brand new grandbabies and within 5 minutes, one of them had a beer cap in her mouth! No excuse for a dirty property. If you are just looking for a big house with a decent kitchen, this is a good house

" Very unfair assessment of the Vacation Home " After cleaning & maintenance crew get the house ready, we inspect the property before giving key to the new vacationers check in.. Except for the beds most of the furniture is less than one year old. Fifth bedroom with double bunk beds is attached to the master bedroom to accommodate small children who like to be close to the parents. There is always dry fire wood in the cabinet next to the fire place in the living room. Freshly cut firewood is placed in several places out side the house for next season. Several types of shampoos are provided so that vacationers have a choice. There. are 24 curtains and one curtain has a slight problem which needs manual opening. There are four smoke detectors were installed by ADT Security Company. One in the furnace room, second in garage, third in the main floor and fourth one on the lower floor.. Previous vacationer were barbecuing close to the glass panel east of dining room, they broke out side glass of double panel. It has been ordered to fix that. There is no leakage of air. Very unfortunate your baby found a beer cap on floor in first 5 minutes of arrival ! Our cleaning crew did not leave it, they are extremely thorough. We always inspect their work.. When we gave initial tour of the house to your family before you arrived they were happy with the clean house. Finally after you checked out the house was fairly clean and we gave you five star review, We are wondering about inconsistencies with your review.

Beautiful and spacious home
We had a wonderful three nights here! We were close to the snow, and we really enjoyed all of the unique features this home has to offer. The hot tub was wonderful in the cold weather. We hope to return post-COVID with a larger group because it's a huge space that's perfect for getting together.

Wonderful family gathering
The home is huge; perfect for gathering the extended family. The location is fantastic; we hit tubing at Skibowl, hiking along the Salmon River, golfing, and with a grocery just a short drive away we had access to everything we needed. And the home itself offered sauna, hot tub, pool and an amazing kitchen -- and we took full advantage of all these beautiful amenities. All-in-all it was a fantastic venue to gather the family and enjoy being together and the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Had my goddaughters birthday here. A small get together. Even the owners let a treat for the birthday girl. Only major issue was, there was thousands of ants coming out of the vents within 30 minutes after arrival. Other than that, we all enjoyed our time in this beautiful home.

We are so sorry to hear this, some time back exterminator came and suggested to use Raid spray, since then we have kept a can under the kitchen counter, by mistake people must have dropped sugar syrup near the cooktop down draft. This type of problem happens rarely during fall weather.

Great house! Amazing for large groups!
This house was HUGE and seemed very clean when we arrived! The hosts are super sweet and attentive, they quickly answered all questions. The hot tub chemical levels seemed kind of high, we enjoyed our hot tubs soaks but the skin was really dry and itchy afterwards and a piece of clothing now appears bleached. The water was very clean and they told us they had just filled it up for our arrival - which they apparently do for every reservation - I appreciated the gesture (especially in these times) The pool table is super fun! We spent almost every night playing pool. The sauna is such a treat! This house has so much to offer. The fireplace in the main area is majestic and so nice for the cold nights. They had just brought in a new couch and together with the fireplace made the living room our favorite spot in the house. We would certainly visit again!

A huge home w nice amenities. Hosts are lovely people. They greeted us and showed us around. The weather was perfect. The home was too big for us (5 adults, 3 kids). Great kitchen and living room. We enjoyed the retro jacuzzi. Hot tub and sauna were clean. A dramatic home w eclectic mix of style and decor. Bet the view was awesome when built in '68. Hardwoods are gorgeous but carpeted areas are in need of deep cleaning. This house is set up for large groups w multiple beds in each bedroom room. As a family, we missed having a central TV living area. No cable, Netflix or Amazon prime. We substituted with games, reading and puzzles. Would stay again, equipped with a more complete picture.

Incredibly Attentive Hosts
Property is very well appointed and comfortable - plenty of room for all activities. We truly appreciated the flexibility of our host accommodating for our delayed arrival time and the great communication through the process. Beautiful, elegant and comfortable property
My family enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house. We all liked cooking breakfast in the spacious kitchen. The granite island made the group effort fun. Great owners, older property in need of upgrades
First of all, the owners were very nice and met us at the house to do a walk through for check in. Not needed, but appreciated. Sauna was a wonderful feature that we enjoyed very much. Location to town is 1.5 miles away and easy for a quick trip for forgotten groceries. Remaining review is not meant to be an insult, however, it is meant to cover some general observations. -Pictures of the property/house on VRBO are well done and don't show the true home. It is an older home in need of some upgrades. -Carpets were ok, but in need of a deep cleaning. -Wood burning fireplace was a fun feature. Owners noted there was firewood to use on premise, however, it was painted lumber and pressure treated scrap wood. Not the safest for in-door burning. We went to town and purchased appropriate fire wood. -Main living room/great room could use a TV for group gatherings. Each bedroom had a nice TV with cable. Just awkward to gathering to watch a ball game. -Hot tub was clean and recently filled for our arrival. Would be good to leave some chlorine/chemical. Pretty sure the water hadn't been treated. -Stove top and oven are dated but functional. New dishwasher and refrigerator. -House is build into a hillside. Basement bedroom has a very noticeable slope due to settling over the years. -Nice dining room seating area. Barstools were flimsy...we set those aside to be sure not to sit in them and have an accident. -Just a really big house with a strange layout. Perhaps there have been a few additions over the years.

Jeremy : Thanks for your suggestions and we will definitely take care of these issues. Our main floor carpet is white and it needs lot of care and cooperation of guests. we will increase the number of carpet cleaning cycles. Firewood is stockpiled in two places, one at the left side of back entrance, second pile is underneath the deck on southwest side of the house. this second pile is mixed with some construction left over wood. We were thinking to install another T.V. in living room in addition to four T.V.s in bedrooms oand we will ask our electrician to wire for the fifth one. Every week we empty the water in the hot tub and refill with fresh water and add very little chemicals upon the advice of earlier vacationers. Those two bar stools are antiques, we stored them. Including folding chairs we have provided more then forty chairs in the house. House was remodeled inside but there were no additions out side. Thank you for your observations, we welcome suggestions.

Family Chritsmas get away.
We had a wonderful time spending Christmas together as a family in this home. There were 10 of us and we had plenty of room to cook, do crafts and play games. Close to dining, shopping and Goverment camp. The Zig Zag pizza is a must when you visit, as is the Dragonfly cafe for breakfast. There is a shuttle right by the Thriftway to drive you safely up to Ski Bowl, Government camp and Timberline lodge. The Kitchen was very large giving us plenty of room to cook and bake. The owners are very kind and respond to messages quickly. They met us at the property when we checked in to give us a tour. The main level is very lovely. The only suggestion for the upper level is having a TV in the main living area for family movie nights together on the couch and maybe some newer pots/pans. The shower downstairs needs some updating too. Having said that our overall stay was amazing and memorable. We enjoyed every moment in this house. It is a fantastic location to everything and plenty of space for large family gatherings. We had a wonderful time.

Mountain Getaway
Our family spent Thanksgiving here and had a wonderful time! It is a great location with easy access to stores, restaurants, hiking trails, Mt. Hood, and snow and ski areas. There are also a lot of fun activities to do while at the house such as jacuzzi, sauna and pool table.

Great place at a great location
We really liked this place. It is on a hill and has very good privacy. There are plenty of rooms and those rooms are HUGE with a lot of beds to easily cater a group of 20 people ... maybe more. The kitchen needs improvement though and needs newer appliances.

Quirky House-Just the Way I Like It
This rental house isn't your typical property. I have rented a lot of vacation homes and this one is an original. The owners met me on site as I was checking in and showed me around, which was helpful because of all the little nuances in the house. For me, the overall size of the house was what originally attracted me to it, but I hope to rent this one again. It worked for my group, it was clean, and the beds were comfortable.

Lots of space
This was our second year renting this home for our ski team and has worked well for us. It is great place for large groups with a large kitchen and ample space to spread out. The owners are highly communicative and checked in frequently to take care of our needs.

Excellent location and beautiful home!
We were 22 in total with two little pets. The home itself is gorgeous with ample space. There is a nearby gas station and the drive to the government camp is only 15mins. It would be great if some of the door locks can be fixed and if the property also gets a level 2 EV charger installed.

Hidden Gem in Welches
We spent 6 glorious days at this amazing home in Welches for a family/friend birthday retreat and had the most amazing time. This space is perfect for groups, lots of sleeping room and a kitchen that we put to the test over and over and still it was able to keep up with us. Tucked far enough away from all the traffic, and close enough to get to Government Camp and Ski Bowl in under 20 minutes. Close to a few eateries and grocery stores, we had everything we needed and a sauna too! Staying in was fun as well, lots of room for games and the family room was able to hold us all close to the fire. The property owners met us at the house to acquaint us with all of the many amenities and to make sure we had everything we needed and were all stocked up for the snowfall. What a fun get away - we are already looking forward to our summer adventure in the mountains - we will be staying here again for sure!

Great place for large families to stay!
The owners are awesome! Took the time to show us where everything was and told us the unique history of the house. Our family loved staying at this home. Would recommend it for any large gathering, lots of space.

Great place for groups!
We had plenty of space for our group. The sauna and hot tub were a big hit. The location is private but close to skiing and hiking. We’d love to stay again.
