Chengdu Wenshu Monastery Hotels

"Everything was great."

"The Buddha Zen Hotel in Chengdu is a rare find. It’s a wonderful yet inexpensive hotel in a lovely and lively part of the city, near the Wenshu Monastery. The rooms are a good size — mine even had a balcony — with good air conditioning and the ability to open windows. It is really quiet at night, and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast was good, with both Chinese and Western food choices. In addition, the hotel is pretty and has a lot of charm. Another plus is that the staff is super nice and helpful. My 25-year-old daughter and I stayed here five nights, and we really loved this hotel."

"We had a great view from our upgraded room in the high rise tower. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was pretty central. I like that they provide a laundry room with free machines, but there are only two washers and two dryers for the whole building, so plan ahead!"

"The room was beautiful, and the service was great. I appreciated the welcome dessert and fruit tea. There were also snacks in the room (not a minibar). I utilized the robot room service option which was "fun" and really affordable. I had to leave for a tour before breakfast started, so I didn’t get to check that out..."
