Amazing place with a Million Dollar View

We had a group of 10 adult friends. Everything about Sunset House was great. The staff treats you like you own the place. Meals are as good as anything on the island and more affordable (if that matters to you). Carmin the house manager is incredible to work with. Location is beautiful, but be advised, the hills on either side of the home are STEEP. If you are not athletic, you will struggle walking them to the beaches in either direction. Parking is convenient for ONE car on upper level and a 2nd (if you have it) at the bottom of some stairs. Rooms are very comfortable with GREAT air conditioning. This home is not the place for people with mobility issues, but, beautiful. It is by far the most "stocked" rental we have ever stayed with EVERYTHING you can want... dishes, cooking utensils, beach chairs, snorkel gear, beach towels, and endless supply of ice and bottled water dispenser. Several good restaurants within a 5 minute drive as long as you can drive on the LEFT and can handle narrow steep roads. ENJOY !!!

60th birthday celebration

We stayed at the Sunset House to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. It was 2 families with 5 teenagers. We had a fantastic time. The house is beautiful, the location is perfect and the staff is amazing! Absolutely loved it! We also rented a boat for a few days for day charters. Super special time. Hope to do it again soon. Thank you so much!!

Amazing vacation at the Sunset House

From the minute we booked, the communications with Carmen were excellent. The house exceeded our expectations! We had dinner at the house four times and each meal was fantastic (lobster was our favorite). We enjoyed the pool after days at the beach and visiting the neighboring islands. Carmen and the staff were incredible, they even went out of their way to get a birthday cake for us. We have stayed at many properties, and the sunset house is at the top of the list. We hope to come back again in the future!

The most amazing, beautiful, comfortable home.

Our stay at Sunset house was memorable and an experience that we will cherish for a lifetime. We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary there with our family of 16. We had a 52 ft sailboat that half the family stayed on and then switched half way through. Carmen and her staff were so accommodating to all our needs. We had a wonderful dinner to end our beautiful vacation. The chef’s meal was over the top amazing. If I could give this home 10 stars, I would. Thank you Carmen for your attention and caring for my family. You and Rose and all the staff are such lovely, warm individuals.

A slice of heaven on earth

The house is lovely, the rooms spacious and comfortable. The staff, though, takes this experience to a whole other level. I have never enjoyed a vacation rental as much as this one. I sincerely hope we can make it back again.

Tortola Gem

We were a group of 8 adults that were lucky enough to enjoy this home in Tortola for a week. From the minute we walked into the sunset house we were blown away by the views. The staff is so friendly and takes care of you constantly, we really felt pampered. The pool was perfect for soaking up the sun in the afternoon heat. The house was well stocked with anything you may need to enjoy the area. We did the in house meals with the staff for four of our nights and It was affordable and tasted delicious! The amount of food you get for the price is excellent. One of the best villa experiences we have had. We will definitely return some day. Thank you Carmen & staff

Excellent All Around

I can't say enough great things about Sunset House. The views are fantastic, the house is amazing, all of the bedrooms are comfortable with balconies, the pool and hot tub are perfect. We enjoyed dinner at the house every evening. Daily housekeeping is so nice to have. She even did our personal laundry whenever we wanted. Can't wait to return.

AWESOME!

It’s hard to put into words just how fabulous this property is, from the spacious rooms to the absolutely breathtaking views to the fabulous staff. From the moment we first contacted Carmen with various questions about the accommodations and activities to the seamless check-out, she was at our service without hesitation. Rose had our continental breakfasts prepared and greeted us with a smile and friendly conversation each morning before we took off for the day’s adventure. We enjoyed four delicious dinners prepared for us at the house and were able to relax and review our fabulous day in the beautiful dining area. We chartered a powerboat with Celtic Island Tours for two of our days which proved to be a true highlight of our trip since we were able to visit many surrounding popular spots and take in some great snorkeling. Our group consisted of 10 family and friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and beautiful verandas. Sunset House is the BEST!!

Completely Incredible!!

This trip was absolutely perfect, from the incredible views, the layout of the house and the incredibly delicious meals prepared for us 6 out of 7 nights of our stay! Can't speak highly enough of Cynthia & Loris! This was the trip of a lifetime. Tortola is beautiful, but I don't know that I would go back if I couldn't stay here again. Carmen was so very helpful in so many aspects!

Sunset House - Adults Only Trip

We had 4 couples rent Sunset House for a 5 night getaway to BVIs. The house did not disappoint, the views just seemed to get better and better each day. The layout of the house was perfect for 4 couples and gave everyone enough space should they want it. Property manager Carmen was great and very helpful with questions we had about navigating Tortola. The housekeepers Rose and Jennifer were also great. We had dinner prepared by the chef one night which was also excellent. If you have multiple families or couples this house would be great for you. It’s a short but steep walk down to a very nice desolate beach where you’re likely to not see anyone one unless you walk up to the beach bar for a drink. Great house and great staff.

This house is just spectacular. Carmen and her team of ladies couldn't be better. I went there for my 60th birthday with 6 friends and it was perfect. The house and views were just amazing. Carmen and the wonderful ladies who cook and clean not only did a great job, but they were so friendly and kind. This property is a dream!

Lovely and relaxing

Sunset house has an amazing view and we spent such a relaxing week here. 9 family members from adults to an infant. Loved the pool. With such a big crowd we ate dinner here every night. The food was great and the ladies were so nice. They totally adapted for food allergies. It made my week stress free! Carmen was so easy to work with and set everything up for us. We ordered groceries ahead of time and they were all there when we arrived.

Awesome place!

My family’s stay at the Sunset House was absolutely amazing! The house is outstanding and the staff is totally top-notch! Carmen, Loris, Cynthia, and Jennifer treated us like royalty! Making Memories in the BVI’s

From making our initial communication with Carmen to the moment we checked out, our experience was fantastic. The views are breathtaking no matter where you are on this property. Every room has gorgeous picturesque views of the water, beach, Jost Van Duke and sunsets. Carmen and Jennifer were exceptionally attentive and kind during our entire stay. We ate all of our dinners prepared by the staff and were not disappointed. The property was clean, well stocked and comfortable. We had a total of 10 people in our group and everyone was happy with their stay.

Tortola Paradise

The property is gorgeous and exactly as pictured online. I travelled with my family, ages 9 to 74, and we just loved Tortola and the amazing view of the beach from the veranda. The house was large and no one felt cramped or uncomfortable due to it's size. We were a family of 7 and we rented 4 of the 5 bedrooms. Each room has the view of the beach below and we walked down each day to enjoy the ocean. We chartered a boat from Celtic Powerboats and it was the highlight of the trip. Enjoy!

Holiday stay 2021

Honestly, this was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable places I've stayed. Carmen was fantastic with all of the communications/questions prior to our arrival as well as during our stay. The staff at the house took great care of us and the dinners were fantastic! We had a couple of dietary restrictions (which we communicated in advance) and they handled those issues quite easily. The home is beautiful as well!

Stop reading the reviews and book! From the second we walked into this property my family couldn't stop complimenting my decision to book the Sunset House. Upon entering the main doors, you are instantly greeted with breathtaking views and the sound of waves crashing on the shore below. Carmen, I want to thank you for making our stay exceptional. Your communication and availability to answer our questions helped us tremendously during our travels. Thank you as well for arranging a rental car with Jerry’s Car Rental. Your involvement in this property truly makes this a 10-star experience. I have stayed in many 5-star properties, and none compare to this house. I commend the owner of the Sunset House. He obviously not only cares about this property but cares about the guests who come through and the experience they have. The addition of Carmen, Cynthia, Loris, and Jennifer create such an unbelievable experience for an already amazing property. Thank you. Cynthia and Loris prepared dinner and Hors D’oeuvres for us the first night. It was so delicious we changed our plans from eating out to staying in and having Cynthia and Loris cook for us every night! Surprisingly upon waking and going downstairs our first morning, we were greeted by Jennifer. She prepared coffee and Continental breakfast for us (every morning); once the kids woke up, she tidied all our rooms. I had great conversations every morning with Jennifer while my family was sleeping. We took daily walks down to Long Bay Beach from the house, it’s only about a 2-minute walk down to the beach. If you walk to the end of the beach, you will find a secluded stretch of beach that is perfect for the entire family. The sand is like silk, and the water is stunning. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and relaxing in the jacuzzi every day. I feel like this vacation/trip to this property brought our family closer together. Once we rented a car, we visited Cane Garden Bay for three days straight! This was a great experience for the entire family. We are a family of 5, kids ages 16, 14, and 3 years old. The Sunset House accommodated our family perfectly and it is suited for multiple families/friends to stay together. We are already planning our next trip with friends. We are telling everyone about our experience at the Sunset House. It is truly a 10-star property and a 10-star experience. Sunset House owners and staff, thank you!

Stunning Views of Long Bay & Jost Van Dyke

We stayed at the Sunset House for several weeks and loved every moment. The house has spectacular views from every room and is exactly as pictured. The location was great with Long Bay Beach only a short 2 min walk away. It’s arguably one of the prettiest beaches on all of Tortola. We enjoyed starting our day on the veranda with our morning coffee while watching the waves roll in. The nicely appointed pool area was very serene and perfect for enjoying a sunset cocktail or cooling off after a day at the beach. Carmen was very attentive and helpful, especially with coordinating our arrival with all of the latest travel requirements. She made our stay seamless and worry free. We will definitely come back!
