Beautiful beaches but no shopping or other restaurants near by. Taxis are very expensive. We found the food selection poor, preparation not to our liking and expensive for what you received.

Beautiful view and lovely tastefully designed room which was cleaned well for us. The only wardrobe was ludicrous Too short to hang men’s shirts let alone women’s dresses. There was no magnifying shaving mirror and the hairdryer was a cheap and nasty Conair model. The picture window in shower room was stunning as it could be switched from clear to opaque. The pool area was across the road and spartan with insufficient parasols. Sunbeds were soaking wet after it rained as they were not waterproof There was no pool attendant and just one barman for the whole area. Reception is a minuscule beach hut with no cover from the weather and very disorganised with a wait of one and a half hours to check in. There is no-where to shelter for guests and their baggage when it rains. Although the style is bohemian ‘chi-chi’ it is most impractical. We only had breakfast once as the staff were offhand and idle. The fried eggs were rock hard, bacon cold and when we asked to change them we got a filthy look and no apology. The beach is beautiful. Despite being charged an extra $25 a day per person for our 5 day stay for their amenities there is no beach attendant and the beds get soaking wet and grubby as they are not waterproof and blow around in the strong wind where they are left. Most of the other single slatted beds were broken in two and lying around dangerously. An eyesore. Overall our experience of our 5 day stay was that this resort is very overrated and poor value for money.

The beach is wonderful! Views are fantastic! No cruise ships docking! Really nice pool and bar. The 1748 restaurant was very good with a wide selection of dishes. For such a great property I was very surprised at the reception desk which is a small hut at the entrance to the property. There is no concierge desk as such. No personnel to give you advise on local attractions etc. the majority of the staff gave the impression that they didn’t want to be there! In my opinion the staff let the resort down.

The resort is absolutely lovely. The rooms are stylish with a comfortable beachy vibe and well appointed. While the drinks and food are expensive, the staff is friendly, accommodating and are there to ensure you have a comfortable stay. When you realize you are on vacation and all your needs are met within a few steps, you’ll forget the price and lean into the enjoyment.

The resort is beautiful. Our room was right on the beach. The bartenders served gracious pours & knew how to make about any drink desired. There was only one restaurant on premises, but Tropical Fusion was next door and delightful - especially Friday night lobster buffet. All the staff was friendly except for Akil, the "general manager". He was a bit gruff, and we could not depend on anything he told us. Our 3-day stay was severely marred by unbearable jack-hammering that began the afternoon of check-in until about 4PM. At 8AM the next morning the noise continued, accompanied by periodic interruptions to our water. This interruption went on for hours .We couldn't shower or flush, and didn't know if a shower would be disrupted by water cut-off. The situation continued into our third day. Akil said he did not know about the repair going on next door is why they put us in our unit. We attempted to discuss our issue with Bria, the resort manager. She never contacted us. We feel she was avoiding us. The adjustment to our charges promised by Akil was only partially fulfilled. It is sad that such an otherwise fantastic resort is diminished by lack of staff hospitality training.

Everything about this stay was outstanding! The resort is beautiful. Our room was incredible, the service was top notch and the beach was spectacular. The food was delicious and we enjoyed massages at the beautiful spa. I wish we had stayed longer! Can’t wait to return.

Lovely room/views and the so many of the staff members were engaging, friendly and so helpful. We particularly enjoyed Johnny's bar and the staff there - Kimberly, Steven and Ivan. Also, our room attendants made my husband's birthday very special with a lovely flower and banana leave display on the bed.

Room clean and nice Restaurant nice Challenges with hot water for more than 3 days and room keys you would have to pay $25 if wet or lost ( get with modern times - cant get key wet at beach resort) maybe the owners/investors should invest in equipment to support positioning this hotel as an upscale resort. And they had to close restaurants and pool area to support a wedding on a Friday - maybe the investors should provide more on site options. Fortunately the staff leadership’s attention and concern for guests was well done.

Long Bay was absolutely stunning. Akil took care of us from the time we got there until the time we left. The rooms and location are absolutely beautiful. This is a must stay location for couples and anyone looking to get away with their partner or couples. We will definitely be coming back!
