“Our brief, 1-night stay at the cabin was great. Having firewood readily available to burn helped take the chill off. The cabin was clean, spacious and comfortable. Jokull was a great communicator. My only regret about our stay was we didn't get to use the sauna; we were beat from a long day. But, we were treated to a Northern Lights show in the wee hours of the night, after the clouds parted. Visible right from the deck. ”

Alles war liebevoll gestaltet, sauber und gemütlich, ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack. Die Lage ist perfekt: abseits vom Trubel, umgeben von Stille, und trotzdem nah genug, um schnell mitten im Geschehen zu sein. Man spürt hier eine besondere Ruhe und Einfachheit, die sofort gut tut. “We had a wonderful stay at this home! It was conveniently located and what a stunning setting and view! Our host (Karl) was very responsive and kind. The place was well stocked with spices and such for cooking, too. The only warning I’d give is that the metal bedside lamps get HOT! My teen son accidentally burned his arm on his as he reached past to plug something in. When I checked things, the whole lamp was super hot. Just something to be more aware of if you are staying with kids. This home……

“Easily one of the best rentals we've had through VRBO. Owner was in communication very early through the process, provided access information well in advance (which is great because there have been times I've had to call owners to get access when I'm sitting at the property), and the location provided easy access to the West and Southern areas of Iceland. Well it was just my wife and I, the place was more spacious than I expected, and two couples or a couple with children could easily stay here……

“The cabin was clean and quaint and cozy, set out in the country. We enjoyed the peace and quiet after touring all day. The road to get there, 535, was full of pot holes that we had to carefully avoid. However, on the 2nd to last day of our trip they regraded 90% of the road which made it a lot better. The beds were very comfortable. The host was kind and communicative making everything easy before we got there. We really enjoyed our stay!”
