"Stayed at Luxor for the R&B Tour during Labor Day weekend. Checked in on Saturday evening. Upon inspection of our room, we noticed the adjoining room door was not able to be locked. Called the front desk and they made a ticket for engineering to come check it out. Ended up waiting 4 hours, several calls later, a ruined Saturday night for engineering to say that we couldn't stay in the room due to safety issues. Well, that's what we said and because the hotel was totally booked, they couldn't move us to another room. Jay, hotel manager, was able to move us to the only room available, the Penthouse. Unfortunately, the penthouse only has a king bed, so me and my best friend had to share a bed. The penthouse was spacious, but I felt I was shipped back to 685 b.c. due to the overly dated furniture and stains. Per Jay, even though they were affiliated with other MGM resorts, they couldn't move us to another MGM resort hotel. He did the best he could with what he had, and I appreciated his help in this matter. He was professional and handled it as well as he could. Unfortunately, our Saturday was ruined, and we ended up missing our reservations. Aside from this matter, Luxor is within walking distance to the Allegiant Stadium. Because of the event, traffic was closed off and walking to the stadium before and after the show was safer. I would stay again if I were to attend any events at Allegiant. Did not use any of the amenities so paying the resort fees was a waste."
