"We had a great stay house was really clean and comfortable but unfortunatly it is about 20 km from the train station as it says on website its 15 min walk so we had to get taxis in and out of town which was 30 euro each way Also they don't have credit card facilities so the money had to be revoluted or cash and we weren't informed of this untill day 2.."

"This cottage was an absolute dream. We arrived on a blowy evening and lit the woodburner in the cosy sitting room. In the morning we awoke to glorious views across a sparkling sea to the Connemara hills, with lambs hopping around the adjacent field. "Overall the property was generally clean and basic. Alot of cobwebs (inside & out) and flies (dead and alive). The stairs to 3 bedrooms upstairs was unsafe, too steep and carpet nails and rips were dangerous throughout the house. The central heating was only warm upstairs and bearly tepid downstairs. The ensuite shower down stairs was modern, but smells of blocked & dirty drain and also had very poor water pressure. Overall we would not recommend the accommodation due to safety of the stairs."

"The Walsh's home is a perfect haven. Everything was exactly as noted with beautiful details to all the remodeling done. The location is on a relatively quiet road that is about 2 miles from end to end and makes a perfect walk in the AM or PM. You may have a few sheep or others who demand a photo or two. Short distance to Cong and Ballinrobe, Oughterard, and Maam area are lovely to explore. Michael stays in contact as needed as well as gives you space to explore. I will return, hopefully!"

"Our stay was excellent. Beautiful cottage in an excellent location, close to Castlebar with good road connections for touring the beautiful county of Mayo. The hosts Declan and Laura are very welcoming and very accommodating. Absolutely lovely people. A real genuine "Cead Mile Failte" is felt here. We will definately return to stay at Cherry Tree Cottage, that is for sure! Derek Hanley, and family Dublin."

"Our Family visited Westport for 5 nights, your home was perfect for our Stay. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town center. The house had everything we needed, we loved the outdoor area for relaxing after a full on day of sightseeing, eating and drinking. The beds and rooms were all very comfortable. "This peaceful cottage is in a great location if you want to get away from it all. Finding it may have been easier if the instructions were in English rather than German. Easy access to Westport and Newport if you need to shop. The cottage itself was not the warmest place we have ever stayed and could do with a little tlc but generally comfortable . The inspiring views of Croagh Patrick were largely blocked by an overgrown hedge. However we enjoyed our stay very much."
