Beautiful 'Saltbox Cape Cod' with Water Views on 3 Levels

  • This is a fully furnished and tastefully decorated year-round home with beautiful views over fields to the east and over the Westport River to the south and west. This pristine salt water estuary is accessible by private association boat launch and pier, and provides easy access to the ocean about 3 miles 'down river.' Amenities included in the rental fee include central air conditioning, outdoor hot & cold shower, cable TV, high-speed internet service, all linens and towels, and all appliances, utensils, pots/pans, and dishware. Westport wins again !

This was our 2nd time staying on this beautiful property. Can’t beat the location and the peaceful nature of the neighborhood helps all of us relax at the end of a day on the beach. Scenic and quiet. Our hosts are extremely communicative and made us feel at home.

Beautiful location

The hosts were helpful and welcoming. The house was well appointed. The location is fabulous. The sunsets over the river are amazing as is the view of the trees and fields. It is impossible not to relax.

Westport River

This property is great for multi age families. Our family shared the main floor but we had top and lower level sleeping areas that worked out nice. The yard is wonderful and spacious especially when little ones need to play off energy. Its a very quiet neighborhood and centrally located.

Westport Gem!

We had the best week! The house is cozy and comfortable. The deck and porch provide the BEST views of the Westport River. The location of the house is so convenient and an easy drive to anything you need. Communication with the hosts was great and easy. We hope to book this house again next time we come back to the area! Highly recommend

Stairs are very steep.

Great setting and views. Nice quiet neighborhood. Easy checkin. Clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Our only issue was the steps were very steep and we didn’t notice that in the listing.

Nice house and location!

We spent a lot of time relaxing on the deck with the calming water view. In the heat of the day, the shadier screened in porch was a nice option. The house is well air conditioned, which was great. Horseneck beach is a short drive - We also took walks at Allens Pond Wildlife sanctuary at the end of Horseneck Road. Farmland stretches all along the road to the beach. There are plenty of small produce stands throughout the area, cute shops, cafes, and restaurants in Westport and Little Compton. We love the area and had an excellent stay in Chris and Laure’s place!

Lovely Riverside Retreat

This was our first time renting this house, it was clean, organized and had essentials, just in case we forgot something. There was a screened porch, and a beautiful deck that overlooks the Westport River. We would definitely rent this place again. The owner was easy to communicate with, and helped make our stay more comfortable.

Lovely vacation

The house is just as advertised and the view is amazing. Kayaking and paddleboarding out to the island in the river was a highlight for the teens. Worth renting a SUP or kayak from Osprey for the week. Would definitely stay again.

Property was perfect for what we needed it for. We had friends who have a house on the ocean so we were mainly at this house at night for dinners and sleeping. Nice area to bring bikes and ride down to the beach. We enjoyed our stay!

River view cottage

This spacious house is bright, open and with wonderful views up and down the Westport River. We appreciated the extra sitting areas as well as the sunny deck and covered screen porch. This location was perfect for my husband and grown children since we were visiting with extended family nearby. A beautiful spot.

The property was old and extremely cluttered. All types of records, cds, cassettes, books, etc etc ALL OVER. Junk in all of the drawers, old sheets and towels, opened food in cupboards, stained and cracked old dishes. It is really too much bad to describe. I didn’t feel clean or comfortable at all in the space. I didn’t sleep at all or enjoy a minute. Owner offered a $100 refund. Nice gesture and a nice guy. However, not nice in the sense that I felt totally deceived.
