It was an amazing visit to Westport! The house was set up with lots of space for our large family. Kitchen appliances aplenty for our Thanksgiving feast, and miles of beach to walk. Board games and books provided were really convenient for the kids and everyone. The large windows were perfect for watching the ocean.We really appreciate all the amenities provided during our stay - sand toys, bath toys, games, books, tv, appliances, dishes, utensils, soaps, and everything else made our stay even better!One note: the second floor railings are spaced farther out than the standard for safety, so toddlers and younger children (4 and under) can potentially slip between the bars. We kept a close eye on the younger ones. Otherwise, it was a perfect set-up for our large family!

Wonderful location with walkout access to beach right from your deck. The house was big enough for our large family and had plenty of space to spread out. We rented boogie boards and had fun playing in the water. The house has plenty of games, books, and fun things to do if not at the beach. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of towels and clean sheets. Hot tub was nice. It had sand in it when we arrived but vacasa offered to have someone come out and clean it right away which was nice. Cleaning was good but quite a bit of pet hair left over from a previous stay blowing around when the doors were open. Other than that it was great! Will rent again next year!

Great beach access! Beds were comfortable, hot tub worked great. My only reason for not giving the cleanliness 5 stars was the coffee pot still had old coffee grounds in it from someone else. Otherwise the rest of the house was clean and taken care of. So really 4.5 stars

House is getting old

Unbeatable location but the house needs upgrades. - No window coverings on some bedrooms. - Some of the mattresses were completely worn out. - The shower head in the shared bathroom was of the cheapest type and could not be pivoted. It just shot out water over your head.- The hall lights were very dim, it is something with the wiring we swapped bulbs to test this. Or there is a dimmer switch we could not find. Two hallways have the same issue.- We could not turn on the overhead lights in the living room, I think there is a remote for this that does not work.- The hot tub water was murky - There is only 1 coat hook for a house that sleeps 14. A few of the chairs became coat piles.

Quick Responses

Property is mostly clean but as expected considering up to four dogs are allowed at a time. Male dogs have clearly marked all over the house where only other dogs would notice (IE: we didn’t notice but our dog certainly did). Manager offered to clean but it will take a deep professional clean that will probably require the goose off the market for a couple of days. Otherwise, very satisfied.The fireplace is a great touch for use in the winter but remember to bring your own firewood with you because it is not provided with the rental and is exceptionally expensive to purchase in town; spent about 40/day on firewood.

Perfect Beachfront Escape

Perfect place for a coastal getaway. The house has everything you’d need or want at the coast. As soon as we walked in the door and looked out the window we saw sea otters playing in the surf. Lots of bedrooms so no one has to share, large hot tub, dinner table big enough for everyone, large cabinet of games for kids and adults, plenty of bathrooms and towels. The only things I’d like to see is one of those boot brush things by the steps so you can clean your shoes as you return from the beach and a new bbq. The bbq on site was pretty corroded from the salty air, one of our planned meals was meant to use it but we improvised. Still a 10 out of 10, will definitely book again.

Poorly Maintained House

Very dirty home. Our check in time was 4, then delayed to 5, cleaning person still there at 5 working hard to get house in order, by 6:15 we were able to bring our stuff in only to find house really wasnt ready. Over full load of towels in dryer to fold, dishwasher also over loaded with dishes to unload. Front porch so sandy needed sweeping as was very slippery for our elderly family. Back patio filthy with old food, grease from barbecue which was filthy as well as very dirty hot tub. We swept front porch, took warm soapy water to back deck to clean off. As members of family started arriving we found more issues. 2 beds missing top sheet, clean trash can liner placed on top of garbage already in waste basket.. As we drove in garbage all around trash can, picked it up and again the following morning trash was all over. We had placed a big rock on lid but did not help issue.We called repeatedly for hot tub to get cleaned to no avail for 3 days then gave up. No one returned our calls as was told. This house was too much work for our 6 day vacation. Diffently not worth all the money charged. Hoping to get cleaning fee as well as hot tub fee refunded.

Fantastic Location

We brought our three families here (6 adults and 5 kids) for our annual summer get-together. Just steps from the beach (and no vehicles on this stretch) made the location perfect for building sandcastles, kite flying, beach fires and just strolling. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room! Our only complaint was the lack of a local phone contact. We couldn't turn on the lights or ceiling fan in the large cental living area and the hot tub wasn't clean. We messaged Vasca, but we were checking out by the time we got a response.

The house is in a great Location

We all had a awesome stay had a fishing trip planned. The bedrooms need curtains it was too light for sleeping. Food was left in the oven and the hot tub was dirty so no one used it.

On the beach!

We couldn't be happier with the location of the house. (But, Google Maps took us to the condos next to the house.) Just a few steps and we were on the beach. The babies put their feet in the sand and the older kids rode the waves on their body boards. Caught some nice sea perch while surf fishing, too! We had everything we needed in the kitchen, except for overhead light. Evidently, the fluorescent bulbs over the sink need to be replaced. Kitchen and bathrooms were nice and clean and I was pleasantly surprised to not find any evidence of sand or dog hair on the floor! All the wood in the house is lovely and all the rooms fit our family well!

great for relaxing!

I'd give this property a 95% (A-). The location is prime! quick walk to the beach, kitchen full of everything you need, and tons of games/puzzles/books. They also had sand toys for the beach :) The hot tub was perfection. so why a minus? Mostly due to two issues- barely connected internet -which isn't a huge deal, but we also had no cell service, so having the WIFI cut out every few minutes was a small downer. The second issue- watch your little ones & pets upstairs - the railing posts are NOT to code- a small kid or dog could go right through, no problem. There were a few small cosmetic damages *that I sent to the contact number, so hopefully we don't get charged. There were a few windows that had no coverings (what a eyeful for beach combers =P) but all-in-all, a great spot that we would definitely revisit!

Wonderful time. Our only concern was the amount of items that were not working or broken…. IE, the disposal, lights in the kitchen, slow drains, TV did not work etc. For the amount of money spent, all of that should have been in top shape and they were not…

Beautiful views unsanitary house

Very beautiful home and location! Let’s start with the positives: The home is beautiful and for large groups it works great! The woodwork is beautiful in the house. There is a nice private access trail to the beach. The neighborhood is a quiet private neighborhood. If you have pets it’s definitely an ideal place to stay with a large group. You can tell that this place is loved and maybe we just came in after a bad group of occupants and there was not time to clean it properly. The negatives: I will preface this with it was July 5th so we understand it was a busy day for cleaning. When we got into the house it smelled of very strong urine. The living room area rug was soaked with fresh urine in one corner. We found multiple sites of fresh urine in the bedroom downstairs. The downstairs laundry room bathroom shower was dirty with rocks and sand as if someone washed their dog in it and it hadn’t been cleaned between occupants. The dryer had damp towels in it that smelled like urine. The hot tub was murky and not enough water to run the jets. We weren’t able to use it. We contacted VRBO and VaCasa and we’re told that we would be contacted by local management and someone would come service the hot tub. We even talked to an area manager but have yet heard back of an outcome or had a call back. We are pretty disappointed and understood it was a pet friendly house but frankly it was a little gross. Besides the urine there were a lot of other issues too.

Family celebration

Great location with perfect beach access. Plenty of room for 10 of us. Kitchen very well appointed. Vacasa was responsive to issues we had but the local team they kept saying they were contacting was non existent. Dishwasher leaked and there was a note saying it would be fixed in a couple days—never appeared or responded. Kitchen lights burned out and fan remote was in need of batteries. Never responded.
