「The property was beautiful and quite. The wood interior was astonishing and impressive with the structure. I really didn't sleep in the beds because my sisters would find me sleeping in the bean bags. They were so comfortable and I just loved staying in the loft. I plan on coming back to the area because the owners at the Midway General Store are so sweet. 」

「The lake is quiet and far enough from the touristy parts of the area to be peaceful and uncrowded, but close enough to stuff that you're not driving endlessly to get to civilization. The mattresses are super comfortable, and we really had everything we needed to just chill out.」

「Great stay! The cottage is cozy and had everything we needed for our long weekend! Water was amazing - shallow with sandbars sprinkled in for hundreds of feet out! The kids (14, 12, 10 & 8) loved exploring, kayaking, going for a walk in the water and swimming. Our host, Heather was very responsive to any questions I had.Highly recommend - we will be back!」

「This property was even more beautiful in person. It was meticulously maintained and perfectly located down an isolated dirt road with other cabins nearby. The walks on the beach and bonfire under the stars were incredible, as was kayaking on the lake. It is relatively centrally located, close to good public beaches on both Great and small lakes, and while you do have to drive to get places - it's the UP - the drives are beautiful and its a great home base for day trips; we went to Pictures...

「This was our second time staying at the Log Cabin Retreat (2018 with friends, 2025 with family). The cabin has a great location close to the trails and Pictured Rocks. It was well appointed with everything we needed, and we would definitely recommend this place to anyone. 」

「Great cabin right on the river. Quiet neighborhood and perfect location for Lake Superior beach access with a 15 minute drive to Munising and only 40 mins to Marquette. Cabin is clean, with comfortable large beds, 2 bathrooms, and all the kitchen essentials you need. Grill works great too!」

"The first night I was arranged to stay behind the elevator, which made me feel uncomfortable and vibrated. Because it was a standard double room with two beds, it was better for me to sleep in the other bed. Since I had placed two reservations, the girl at the front desk said that I had to move to the room downstairs for the second night. I said it was inconvenient, and she said there was no other way because the room was fully booked. The next day I asked another woman if I could not move to the first floor, and she said yes. I checked and found that the room rate I paid to Expedia for the second night was more expensive than the first night. Why did the hotel move me to a pet-friendly room on the first floor? It would be very inconvenient for me to move back and forth, which would affect my schedule."
