"The property is a bit dated but the staff and the friendly gentleman that prepares the breakfasts make up for it! The dock leading to a gazebo with the hammock swing was my favorite feature. The Sound catches beautiful sunsets and that spot was perfect to watch it. The light house and historic bath house can be seen there as well. My stay was short- but I plan to go back!"

"The property was as described and we had a great time. The host checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The pool and hot tub kept the kids and adults happy. It is a short walk to the beach. Enjoyed hearing the sounds of the waves from the decks."

""Playing in the Sand" was very clean and comfortable. Great air conditioning (this matters in the summer!), laundry and kitchen space/dining space. Communication with Tim, our host was easy. The location in Corolla across from the Whalehead Club, Currituck Beach lighthouse, and around the corner from historic Corolla was ideal. You are also in walking distance to shops, restaurants, a horse tour, mini golf etc. You are also very close to the beach access and this community has a beautiful pool with light house views in the back ground. When we were here, it was very quiet and peaceful. A great place to unwind and relax...you can hear the ocean near by. Parking directly in front of the unit made car off load/on loads quick and effortless. Very enjoyable time spent here, and would rent here again without hesitation!"

"We enjoyed our stay in this spacious, comfortable home nestled in the heart of Corolla. We loved the layout of the house, the spacious kitchen and dining area and access to the hot tub. The kids and adults alike loved the rec room with ping pong and Foosball. The living room was the perfect place for our large group to play games, chat and relax. Amanda and Michael were excellent hosts and responded promptly to any questions we had."

"With its 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, good sized pool, warm hot tub, lots of hanging out space, and proximity to the beach, "Aye Corolla" was just right for our small family gathering. The 2 fridges and 2 dishwashers were a big help, and there were plenty of dishes, pots and pans, and kitchen utensils so preparing meals was pretty easy for this crowd. There was one large casserole pan, but I would have liked a couple 9x12 lasagna pans. If you drink tea, bring a tea pot with you.There were 2 gas grills, one of which worked better than the other. Good for burgers, chicken, etc. There was a grill brush, a large spatula, and large tongs for the grill.The pool was perfect for those who preferred it to the beach, and for our one little guy who could paddle around for hours!The walk to the beach took about 5 minutes. Bring a small wagon with you unless you want to carry (or drive) everything back and forth. A small tent or umbrella is a good idea in the hot July and August sun!All in all, this house and its amenities worked very well for us. Hard to come back home!"
