Bach in Whangaroa Heaven

Whangaroa Heaven is a loved kiwi bach overlooking the beautiful Whangaroa Harbour. The bach has warmth, character, kauri floors, spectacular views to die for, large decks and all day sun.

Whangaroa is one of the most peaceful, beautiful and enjoyed harbours in the north with big game fishing, fun fishing, harbour cruises, diving experiences, relaxed walks for the views and much more.

10 minutes drive to the beautiful Tauranga Bay Beach, 20 minutes to KeriKeri for trendy shopping and luxury cafes.

Well-equipped kitchen, great indoor outdoor flow but tbh I just sat and looked at the view. The walk up to St Paul's rock, visible from the kitchen and deck, is worth the effort. A perfect getaway, whether you want to muck about in a boat, go fishing, or just chill.

Perfect for fishing with a friend

Cosy Bach with a warm fire. Looks over the harbour and we could see our boat moored at the marina. Easy walk to the club. Don’t attempt to take a boat trailer up the drive.

Amazing views,restful times

Overall we really enjoyed our stay.Beds were very very comfortable. Well stocked kitchen.Couldn't get the stove top to work.Probably us.Needs an instruction manual Still some renovations to complete but didn't detract from our stay.Stairs are a challenge for older people. Would visit again without doubt.

A peaceful little gem

We had a wonderful stay with all the amenities we needed for a short stay. There are stunning views from every window of the bach and it’s only a short drive to some beautiful walks. The host was very helpful and the bach was very comfortable and great value.

Cosy Nook

Comfortable,cosy warm house with incredible views. Old, but being modernised, and had everything we needed for a winter holiday in dreadful weather even with power cuts and floods. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here! The only drawback was lack of tumble drier and the 22 corkscrew steps up to the house and the steep driveway. But the views make it well worth it!! Have given four stars but once redecoration etc done will deserve 5 stars without a doubt. Would love to come back.

Another week in heaven

This was our third stay here, and it just keeps getting better. Love the new kitchen! The house is well equipped and has everything you need for a fantastic holiday in a little slice of paradise. The photos of the view almost don’t do it justice - just stunning. Thanks Julia for the flexibility in allowing us to extend the dates for our stay.

Amazing location and holiday home

We had the best time here. Great location to stay for walks, fishing and exploring. The photos don’t do it justice. Everything you want is there and we will definitely be back. Northland is our happy place and this accomodation was perfect.

Pluses and Minuses

Pluses: Great location, views, decks. Renovated kitchen and bathroom. Well equipped. Close to Fishing Club (pub/ restaurant)/ boating/ kayaking. Minuses: Extremely limited water supply, shower had no drainage, musty bedrooms, no bug screens. Steep driveway and stairs may be an issue for some.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Spacious and comfy bach with everything we needed for a weekend away with friends. The glazing offers such great views from all the living spaces. As already pointed out the kitchen is very small but we found it very functional - and the benchtop bifold out to the deck is brilliant. We found the bbq (situated out the back) was nearing the end of its life, as they do, but still managed steak for dinner. Hard to beat this private and well setup location.

My partner and I love our well needed staycation at Julia's bach. It is such a quiet and peaceful place, the views from the house are absolutely stunning and there's so much to do in the area too. We can't wait to be back !
