We had to find alternative accommodation. The owner claims to have tried to arrange our refund, to no avail. "This is a nice property near Phabeni gate of Kruger National Park, which is just a 6 minute drive. Akani is a great host and if you need anything he will bend over backwards to help! You can park right next to your chalet, which is very helpful. - I personally hate lodges where you have to park a distance away! - There is a pub nearby that gets noisy at times, but if you run a fan it drowns out the noise. The property is very close to the main road and is very safe! "

"We had a marvellous time at Caracal Lodge. It was a wonderful away from it all experience. Magtree Cottage was very comfortable and well equipped even though there is no electricity, power being supplied by gas appliances, paraffin lamps and LED lighting. It was magical to wake up with views of the resident giraffe family as well as zebra, impala, horses and a pet pig! Outside there was a braai, fire pit in a lovely shaded area and a small pond. Exploring the 300 hectare game park there...

"The property can do with a refresh along with the installation of a mechanism to help keep things like the power and internet connection up during the consistent power dips. near impossible to be in any kind of online meeting if it takes 10 minutes plus for the internet to come back after a dip. The team at the hotel are friendly but getting any kind of order to the room takes an inordinate amount of time, in my case 1,5 hours to then still have it be incorrect. On the whole comfortable with notable short comings."
