Great place to stay

Clean Quite

Nice location clean and quiet. We were just there to shower and sleep. Kitchen seemed equipped but we didn’t do any cooking. In the evening things are cooling down which is great. There is only 1 fan for upstairs. Which was fine for the temperature

Great place, bad stairs

Bathroom is upstairs. Spiral staircase is steep and slippery, could use non-slip stair treads. Not a place for sock wearers or old people. The place itself was nice. I liked the wood feel from the exposed beams. Would stay here again if the price was right. I didn't communicate with the property manager, thats why I gave that option 3 stars.

False Advertising No Air Conditioning

The VRBO clearly said Air Conditioning was an amenity. We happened to choose a week in July when Vermont was having 90+ degree temperatures. When we arrived at the house, the thermostat said it was in 'Cool' mode but the temp in the house (windows open) was 89 degrees downstairs. There were no AC vents - Cool mode was just the thermostat. Upstairs, the temperatures in the bedrooms were 95+ (windows open). It was awful. We only stayed 1 night and moved. Also, the key code had a crazy number of digits (10+?) and the key pad would click off after you entered like 4 digits. It finally worked but was unreliable (battery?). I will say that Vacasa - once they got involved - did provide good service and a 50% credit. VRBO customer service was non existent and unavailable other than useless chat - very bad.
