“We booked last minute due to a flight cancellation, the owner and onsite property manager were lovely to deal with and accomodated us. We were given clean sheets and 2 towels and the bed was made. It was comfortable, the pullout divan was stained and not comfortable, those things typically are not. The place had not been cleaned and there was no handsoap and little toilet paper. The outside area was very nice, the inside area is like a very rustic old north american cottage. Very old gas……

“This property is in a good location, close to many beaches and amenities. I have been here several times, but I find the upkeep has gone down. All of our in-unit appliances were extremely old and the fridge leaked the entire time (it was replaced on the day we checked out). The power and wifi went out a few times during our 10 days. The furniture is very dated and could use replacement asap. The bathroom has a lot of signs of wear too. The cleaning staff were amazing but I miss the old hotel……

“I had a very sweet room with a lovely outdoor veranda, but it didn’t feel very secure. The staff were helpful and charming but there was a snafu with my transfer from the airport. I didn’t appreciate being told to “take a little walk to reception” to cancel my brunch reservation when I was jet-lagged and still in bed. The rum punch was delicious. ”

“The room was clean. However it was advertised tbat there was tea/coffee available- there was not. Also basic items were missing -- no shampoo, no hairdryer, no kleenex. Only sheets on bed. Air conditioning in bedroom only.”

“The rooms and facilities were pretty tired and poor and need a lot of upgrading. The front desk staff was very friendly, but others in the restaurant were not. The beach is quite narrow and small. There arent enough lounge chairs and umbrellas. ”

“Overall fabulous stay! Staff are so attentive and courteous, adults only rooftop is fab, the infinity pool downstairs is perfect for a morning swim - rooms are spacious and all rooms have a sea view. Breakfast was outstanding with the selection on offer - cannot wait to stay again ”

“Fab views of the ocean, perfectly situated mid way on The Gap with plenty of options in walking distance to go out. Excellent final day facilities post check out which was a massive bonus and more places should take note. A really awesome hospitality area to allow you to relax and shower prior to final departure. ”

“I loved my stay at Divi and can’t say enough good things. The beach area is amazing, the rooms are spacious, the grounds area is beautiful, even the lobby is nice to sip a cocktail while we waited for a taxi. Very walkable to everything and the onsite market and restaurant were super convenient. The breakfast had made to order eggs which was great also. Will definitely stay here again when I come back. ”

“Old building good of looking for something cheap and affordable.location is a pro. Staff gave mediocre service.rooms are rundown and old. TV only had one channel. Bathroom cabinets full of garbage. Fridge old. Has community kitchen. Window view was of neighbors trash ”

“I was extremely disappointed with my stay here and am glad I stayed elsewhere on the island for the majority of my time in Barbados. The rooms here felt like jail cells, not one piece of art, no hot water and no mirror above the sink in the bathroom. There was also no fridge for leftovers but a stove? The beach area is too small for all the people that are staying there, there also wasn’t enough pool chairs so multiple people were left to sit in the dinner chairs rather than lay by the pool or……
