Nice Place - Not Well Equipped
This was a new property for rent and before booking I asked if there would be furniture out on the top patio and the answer was yes, there was only an uncomfortable bench. There was also no garage which I found could have been good for storing the beach things each day. The day before check in I was informed that the dryer was not working and that it most likely would not be fixed during my stay. Not having a working dryer on a beach vacation isn't the best thing. I was told they would like to compensate me to which I asked for an early check in. We were able to check in by 1pm, but when we arrived the floors were still very dirty with lots of sand. With children in the house, it's nice to have more than one hang out room and I thought that the library would be a good option for the kids or adults to spend time in. Unfortunately there was nothing but an empty room with two small shelves of books. On day 1 we found the hose wasn't working outside so I asked the owner to which they said someone would be over in the morning to 'unlock' it. That was done, but the fact that it wasn't done prior isn't great. Many rental properties at the beach have needed items such as towels and beach 'toys.' This place had nothing. Honestly, this house was nice, but not a place I would rent again until it's upgraded with needed amenities. I thank the owner for the quick correspondence to my questions and I hope my review is looked at as a positive way to make this property wonderful.
