A unique experience!! The house was very clean inside, the beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. Katherine was a great host. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Great little stop over

Looking for a while to break up the drive coming back from Arkaroola and what a surprising find this was.Kids adored all the animals and played with the goats for as long as they could before dark.

Goats, goats, goats

Wonderful stay with at the retreat farm stay. Awesome to wander around the yard with all the farm animals in particular the wonderful goats. Spacious, well equiped accommodation. If you love goats then this is the place to stay.

We loved feeding the goats and other farm animals. The house was more spacious than we expected and pleasantly unusual. Kat was welcoming and friendly. We had a wonderful stay.

Katz Retreat is a lovely place to stay. The house is spacious and comfortable, Kat is very hospitable and it is wonderful to interact with all the animals in the yard. It's about 20 minutes from Remarkable Ranges National Park. Just note: tap water is not suited for drinking, make sure you bring enough bottled water for drinking and cooking.

Glorious location wonderful house

Unfortunately we only had one night here. Enough for one glorious sunset and one glorious sunrise. We loved the animals in the pens nearby and loved the fabulous kitchen. The host gave us some great insights into the history and geography of the countryside.

Lovely outback experience

We where looking to escape the city and spend some time in beautiful country Australia. The owner was extremely welcoming and showed us around as soon as we arrived. We had a gorgeous outdoor BBQ and our son loved feeding the animals in the morning…. Would recommend

Great stay at Katz retreat

My family of 4 including 2 kids aged under 10 had a great time in the comfortable tidy cottage accommodation, the heating works a treat in winter and plenty of amenities. On the property with some friendly roaming goats, lambs, roosters and alpaccas, sheep and a few horses in the paddock. The kids loved it, Kat offers feeding with the animals and is very very welcoming and friendly, and provided us with knowledge of neighbouring towns in the southern flinders and northern. Look foward to returning.

Outback experience in comfort

Really enjoyed our short getaway at Katz Retreat. Accommodation has a character - used to be Sunday School house, which is next door to Willowie old church. It is very comfortable with all the bells and whistles. Awesome kitchen - lots of appliances to cook up a storm. Air conditioning works very well through the house.Goat farm and hence many goats, chickens, horses, etc. outside the sliding door adds a country charm experience. The host Katherine is a lovely human being. Thanks again for having us as your guests!

Excellent quiet country retreat

A great find in a super quiet and relaxing location. Thoughtful little touches from a lovely host, and it was a delight to interact with the goats and other farm animals on the property.

Enjoyable stay

It was a really good stay after a long day travelling from Coober Pedy. The kids all loved the animals and couldn’t wait to help Katherine feed them in the morning. The kids want to come back and check on the kids (baby goats). Would highly recommend
