The main reception area lounge was beautiful. The room we had was almost perfect. The layout was great, the fireplace was a dream and my wife (this is Cornell speaking) went straight for that soaking bath tub. The grounds were interesting and it was nice learning about the history of the hotel. And the front desk reception staff were great - especially Renee.
This resort has been nothing but amazing. The staff has been super helpful, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable with that rustic feel, the restaurant is delicious and top notch, and the area is wonderful and has loads of stuff to do. We have nothing negative to say about the whole experience. We will be coming back in the future to stay. Truly a fantastic resort and is now one of our favorites.
Room was very clean and we enjoyed relaxing in the main room with the fireplace and a glass of wine at the end of the day. It's very cozy and welcoming. The staff was friendly and welcoming also. We will come again!

Room was kind of small for the price and no breakfast facilities.
This is a lovely place for a relaxing getaway. Rooms are very comfortable, beautifully appointed and feature upscale amenities. This is a great value for the money, and we have visited many times.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Beautiful setting. You do need more staff in Krazy Kat's restaurant as they seem to limit guests even though there are plenty of empty tables.
The 2 rooms were great. Very clean and spacious. The shower pressure was excellent. Three minor details. The sink hot water got very hot very quickly (scolding). The shower fills up a bit and leaks a little. Lastly, the handicapped parking where we were told to unload has a dark spot near the stone parking marker where I tripped twice (needs some ground lighting). Aside from those minor issues the room was a great value for the money. This was our second time staying there and we would go back again.
This is a charming place to stay. Located in a beautiful historic area with gardens and rolling hills all around. Love the wine bar at sunset in the grand room/lobby.

Very friendly staff and the dinner I had at the restaurant was delicious. I would suggest that the bathroom in the room I stayed in is in need of renovation. Other than that, I enjoyed my stay and the location was great.
A quaint historic property with lots of charm. Would definitely stay here again.

Liked: Staff & service, room comfort
My daughter and I spent two nights at The Inn At Montchanin. The bedroom and bath were lovely and had every comfort that you that you can imagine. However, I thought when I booked the room, there were no stairs you entered the little house into a small living room where there was a sofa, a chair, a small sink, microwave, a refrigerator (when they say complimentary drinks, they mean two sodas) and a. TV. The stairs to go upstairs were very steep and I, being a 78 year-old woman, had a very hard time going up the stairs since I live in a one story condo. I definitely would consider going back if I could have a room without stairs.
