Wilton Maine Serenity
Peter and Jane are terrific hosts of a beautiful spot on the lake. We did all the things. We hiked Mt. Blue to the top. We peddled the boat out onto the lake. We watched the sunrise and sunset on the screened in porch. We made fires and roasted marshmallows. We had a terrifically beautiful family vacation at this perfect little cottage on the lake.

Cozy Cottage
Our stay was the most enjoyable relaxing time. It was spotless! Everything you could possibly need down to the littlest detail and the sweetest hosts you could ask for. It felt like home away from home. Beautiful serene location. We loved it and will definitely be back!

PERFECT
This unexpected gem was more beautiful than expected. The photos do not show, with accuracy, the thoughtfulness that has gone in to this place. It is cozy and comfortable, and very, very clean. Jane and Peter were great hosts. Friendly and thoughtful and not intrusive. Our time there was too short and we look forward to staying there next fall.

Wonderful!
Beautiful property, very private and peaceful. We loved every bit of our stay. The hosts were great and made it clear they were available if needed, but not in our way. We were very comfortable and would love to rent again next year earlier in the season to enjoy the lake more.

Beautiful Lakefront
Cozy cottage on a mid sized lake during a hotspell in early September. Hosts were very friendly and accomodating. We had access to swimming via a dock and inner tubes. The grounds were tidy with a badmitten net, croquet, ping pong, etc. They even took us for a ride on their new acquired pontoon boat. The location was ideal in that we felt secluded yet only six miles to Farmington, ME. We would like to go back next year.

Relaxing Lake Getaway
Jane & Peter’s lake cabin is the perfect location if your looking for a relaxing getaway! Right on quiet Wilson Lake with private access to the lake right out your back door. They provide absolutely everything you need to enjoy your time there, and are very responsive if you have any questions. They have a paddle boat and small battery powered boat if you want to go out on the lake and the large screened in porch overlooking the lake is perfect. If your looking for a quiet private relaxing lakeside getaway with everything you could possibly need you have found it here.

Just what the Dr. ordered
We were looking for a relaxed week away from the craziness that is our life this year. We got that plus so much more. Our hosts Jane and Peter could not have been more welcoming and gracious. We were availed every amenity that they had. Kayaking, peddle boat, and so much more. We were allowed to bring our 8 year old dog, who I must say loved it as well. We will be looking forward to our next visit to the lake house. Thank You Jane and Peter for making our stay a very pleasant, relaxing, and oh so very enjoyable week, one that we couldn’t wait to share with family and friends. You both are wonderful hosts. Wilton Maine Cottage
Really Great get away , superb lake views and sounds. The hosts have everything you could need play equipment wise. We were able to bring our pet Sunny the dog which makes any vacation 100 times better! Plenty of tv stations to find something to hate on and make fun of while kickin back too. Hosts we gracious, hospitable laid back but professional . 5 Stars for sure value value value we will be back

Getaway
Stonecroft / Wilson Lake is absolutely lovely quaint cottage right on the lake, with everything you possibly can think of. Peter and Jane are two great hearted people that put their all into making your stay with them enjoyable.. We enjoyed almost everything they have to offer, husband enjoyed fishing on the boat and dock most of the day, in between breaks of fishing we enjoyed kayaking, playing ping pong after dinner, swimming on a private dock, spending quality time on their private cottage. Definitely a spot to visit and looking forward to our next stay! Thank you both for your hospitality!

Perfect In Every Way!
We had an amazing time. We lucked out with the weather which certainly helped but the home and location are absolutely perfect for lakeside getaway. It’s a quite private cove with a beautiful view of the lake and mountains. The resident loon family serenaded us and graced us with their presence each day. The layout is perfect with a wonderful dock and a float to swim out to. It’s a beautiful piece of paradise and we hope to return. The hosts are so nice as well!

This property is truly lovely. The cabin has all you need. The screened in porch gives you an awesome place to view the lake. Even the fishing was great! Additionally, hosts Jane and Peter couldn’t be nicer. They were very attentive while also giving us plenty of privacy.

The perfect Maine getwaway
We absolutely loved our stay at Stonecroft. The property is truly one of a kind, with private lake access for fishing, swimming and boating. We love sitting on the screened in porch and enjoying our coffee while looking out over the lake. The hosts keep everything in perfect condition. The house has everything we needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay, including a/c, heat and washer/dryer which are very convenient. Thanks for a great stay!

Relaxing and Fun Long Weekend
Thank you to Jane and Peter for sharing your beautiful lake front property with us for the long weekend! The cottage is clean, property well maintained and equipped with everything to keep everyone in the entire family, including our 11 year old son happy! The highlights for us were the screened in porch, fishing on the rowboat with the trolling motor and kayaking. Highly recommend, well worth the visit! We will definitely return!

Our Fall Maine Getaway
Wow! Awesome! Our 7-night stay met all expectations. Impeccably clean, private, safe, peaceful, comfortable, magnificent views. We wanted to relax, decompress, and immerse ourselves in nature. Check. Check. Check. And to top everything off, our hosts—Jane and Peter—terrific! They are the most friendly and welcoming couple. Their property is gorgeous and their pride of ownership shows in every detail. They’ve included amenities for all age groups. Kayaking on beautiful Wilson Lake was my favorite. They provided recommendations on local hikes, restaurants and suggested locations for optimum fall foliage viewing and panoramic views. Quill Hill in Stratton will take your breath away! I highly recommend a stay at Stonecroft. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic natural beauty!
We recently had a wonderful time enjoying the cottage on Wilson Lake. The cottage itself was clean and comfortable with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. I absolutely loved having a screened in porch overlooking a beautiful cove with mountains in the far off distance. Our hosts could not have been nicer! Jane even shared some of the delicious chocolate chip cookies she had made one afternoon, leaving them for us in the kitchen when we returned from a day's outing. Peter was helpful in sharing stories about the area. My fisherman husband was in heaven, catching plenty of bass using the kayak provided by the hosts. I already miss listening to the loons as I sipped my coffee each morning. We had an exceptional stay!

It was like staying with your favorite aunt and uncle,!
The Francetti’s were so welcoming, we felt like we were staying with family. Their place was immaculate, and the kitchen had every single thing we needed. And, they can compete with some resorts there are so many activities to do. We brought our fearful and barky St. Bernard (she is not destructive, but her people skills are a work in progress) and they made us feel like she was just being a normal dog. We are so grateful for the hospitality. It was a wonderful trip!

Wilton/Wilson lake cabin rental
My wife and I often spend a week in August at lakeside cabin rentals in Maine. Of the many places we have stayed, all of which have generally been very nice, this rental ranks at the top. The cabin was very well appointed and extremely clean, the proprietor's where a pleasure to work with, and there are a number of interesting things to do in the general area. We will certainly consider this cabin again in the future.

The perfect Maine getaway!
This was our second year staying at Stonecroft and once again, we had the perfect Maine vacation. This is a special place for making family memories and we hope to return in the future. Jane and Peter are wonderful hosts and always make us feel at home. The property is perfectly located close enough to town for convenience but far enough away for peace and privacy. The cabin is lovely, spotlessly clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We really appreciated the new air conditioning installed this year, as well as access to the private beach and fleet of kayaks, canoes and other small boats.

A step into tranqulity
This beautiful, clean, comfortable, tranquil and peaceful cottage sits right on the water. The cottage has all the conveniences you need and includes heat and air conditioning. There is a dock, small boat and electric motor, canoe in addition to games, and a beautiful property to enjoy. Amazing sunsets and the hosts are very attentive while at the same time provide total privacy and space. This is a gem and well worth staying at.

Knocked It Out Of The Park!
We had an amazing week-long stay on Wilson Lake. Jane and Peter are wonderful hosts. I appreciated all of the photos and detailed information listed on their site and can say that it is all 100% accurate. Their communication leading up to our arrival was excellent and it was very easy to locate. They gave us a tour and rundown of the property and all of the amenities when we arrived. The property seems to go on forever. Between the kayaks, boat, games, ping pong, and all of the other available activities, there was always something to do. This is a very family friendly site. My teenagers had a great time but there are also lots of options for younger kids as well. We seek out properties on a lake with primary goals of paddling, fishing, and quiet relaxation. This site covered all of that and beyond. The lake is great for paddling and the fishing is good right off the dock and around the nearby island. We brought our own fishing gear as that was noted in the site listing. They have many kayak options that worked just fine for us. We also rented a paddle board for the week from Mainely Outdoors on the UMF campus in Farmington. While it was a bit of a drive, we also did a day trip out to Acadia National Park. We had been hoping to visit Maine for some time and finally made it. This property made a huge first impression and set the bar very high. Kudos to Jane and Peter for maintaining such a beautiful property and sharing it with others.

Tranquility and Beauty
We had a great 2 weeks at the cozy cabin on Peter and Jane's property. The views are unbeatable, the location is very private - but they are just next door should you need anything! However, we did not, as the cabin is incredibly well stocked, was super clean, and very convenient to hiking, skiing, and Wilton/Farmington for restaurants/breweries. Thanks for a great and peaceful stay, we will be back! (oh, and we worked remotely from the cabin, and generally the WiFi was totally fine for calls/zoom, but it is rural so you get some slowness just because of the location).

Not advertised correctly
The cottage has everything you could need but is not fit for a winter rental. The water pressure is challenging as well as the heating system. Maine is known for power outages the main house benefits from a generator but the cottage doesn't. Ideal for icefishing as long as you bring your own salt/sand for the back entry. One bedroom doesn't allow for privacy and doesn't sleep 6. Bedroom and bathroom have sliding doors with no locks.

Beautiful winter getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this adorable cottage on Lake Wilson. There are gorgeous views of the lake from almost every window and a huge screened porch that would be a great place to hang out in warmer weather. The inside of the cottage was absolutely spotless and had everything we needed, including two binders with detailed information on things to do in the area as well as menus from local restaurants. We couldn’t have picked a better location. The cabin is an hour drive or less from all our outdoor winter activities. We would definitely stay here again and recommend the cabin to anyone looking for a cozy getaway any time of year.

Fantastic Getaway!
We had a great family vacation! There were so many thing to do (kayak, paddle boat, fire pit, relaxing on dock or in the screen in porch, board games, ping pong, badminton, horse shoes, volleyball…) The house was very clean and kept up. Owners were helpful, friendly and accessible but not intruding. The setting was beautiful. Futon in the living room was comfortable and the extra seasonal half bath in the “game barn” was a big plus! We’ll definitely be back.

Spectacular lakeside retreat!
This stunning lakeside cottage exceeded our expectations! In a private and quiet wooded setting, this cottage had everything to make our stay relaxing and enjoyable. We enjoyed the hammock, a private dock perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, kayaks, a pedal boat, badmitton game, ping pong, board games, rafts, life jackets, a sweet private beach and so much more! The screened-in porch overlooking the water was dreamy. This is a perfect spot for a small family fun vacation or a truly restful getaway.

Perfect weekend
Our visit to Stonecroft was perfect--from the greeting as we drove up to our departure. Hiked at Mt. Blue, spotted the loons (!!), and soaked up the quiet. We brought our student and her roommate out from UMF for some ping-pong, lake-gazing, campfire-sitting, and rainy-day decompression. Comfy furnishings and every amenity we could possibly need. It was not easy to leave (even for the dog). Many thanks to Jane and Peter for making this a memorable and relaxing escape!

Great vacation rental
We had an amazing time. It is a beautiful property. We were able to bring our boat. The lake was great for tubing (not too busy). We had four kids with us that were able to stay busy playing ping pong and badminton as well as kayak down the lake. Jane and Peter were wonderful hosts, gracious and kind. A perfect Maine vacation complete with a family of loons that swam by everyday!

Wonderful property and excellent hosts!
Our stay at Stonecroft was one of our best vacations ever! This is a beautiful property with everything you need for a Maine getaway. The cabin is in excellent condition, the lake access is wonderful and the views are breathtaking. We enjoyed watching the loons, quiet paddles on the water, and excellent fishing. Proximity to Wilton and Farmington are a nice plus. Having access to washer and dryer, the game room, big fire pit, gas grill, and all the boats and paddling toys were great bonuses as well. I can't say enough good things about the hosts, they were very welcoming, extra helpful, and also gave us plenty of privacy to enjoy the property with our family. Special thanks to A for sharing his Maine Maritime experiences with my college-bound teen. 5 big stars and we look forward to our next visit!

Beautiful impeccable cottage
Our stay was wonderful. Jane is an incredible host as his her husband. We loved being on the lake. The cottage had absolutely everything we needed and was very comfortable. There is some noise from the nearby road and also the rifle range but otherwise everything was great.
