Great Family Getaway

This whole property can be booked for a wonderful large family gathering. We had plenty of space for 50 people, the large kitchen is great for cooking large meals. If I'm ever looking to book another large family gathering in Wimberley I will definitely be back.

Great property in a great location

Great property. Plenty of space for multiple families to hang out together but also have their own space and privacy. Bring flashlights and lanterns if you’re night owls like our group. We hope to make this an annual tradition!

If we readlly had 50 people sleep over the night we would not have enough beds--was difficult to break up the families to fit the beds.

It suited our needs

Pretty well kept with a few exceptions. Sprayer in Reunion Cabin kitchen could not be turned off, had one speed, and sprayed us every time we washed dishes. Lots of lights outside did not work. Very frustrating to get a definitive answer on early checkin possibilities - the Property manager read by the book, and would not listen to polite reasoning. Said he could only follow protocol, and we had to call numerous times. The housecleaner and field agent were very nice in person and helpful.

Good For Large Groups

Positives: * The pool was nice * There is enough space to accommodate a lot of people * The kitchen was large enough to support a big group * The property is very private despite being on a busier street * There is a good variety in size of beds which helps support a bigger group. * Property management staff is quick to respond to email and friendly on the phone. Negatives: * August in central Texas is HOT. The A/C may be good enough for some months but it was very inadequate for August. * Some mattresses appear to be older / broken down and could be more comfortable. * Buildings are a bit further from each other than ideal (again, this is mostly just because it was just so hot) * Wifi does not function well in rooms (it's fine in the main space) * Main lodge door sticks. Not a deal breaker but it's annoying, especially when kids are trying to get in/out. * Not enough covered trash bins for a property that is designed to accommodate a larger number of people. * Attempting to get an early check-in was painful.

Great accommodations for large numbers!

Perfect setting for the family gathering to celebrate our parents 60th wedding anniversary. Plenty of room to accommodate everyone attending in cool, comfortable rooms. Kitchen essentials made preparing food for a large family ideal. The pool provided an enjoyable time for all as well!
