Great place for a family break

Great for the kids to explore - that's when they were not in the fantastic pool and hot tub. Donkeys and cat were a big hit. Adults enjoyed the peaceful location.

This rental is located in an area where it’s so peaceful but yet close to things to do - wineries, breweries, Wimberley etc. beds are super comfortable and communication with the hosts was very responsive in answering our questions! Highly recommend!

Best Rental Property I’ve Ever Stayed At

It was our second time to stay here, The houses are beautifully decorated. The grounds are also amazing. A good place to enjoy nature. The hosts have provided everything you need. The big kitchen table was our gathering place for meals and a puzzle. Many memories were made.

We had a great time! It was the perfect set up for our family of 8. We cooked and played games in the ranch house, grilled and swam, fed the donkeys and kitty…it was a perfect 70th birthday party location. We will be back!

Family stay - once a year gathering

Everything perfect we felt so lucky to be at the house when the hurricane was hitting Houston. We were still without power wed and Thursday after we left but felt fortunate to be at the ranch when we were!! Great rental! We loved the ranch house every bit as much as the 2 bedroom main house!

Relics Ranch

We flewn in from OH/KY to visit our family frrom Katy. We used to live down in Katy 20+ yrs ago and had never visited Wimberly or Fredricksburg. Our stay at the Relics Ranch was more than we expected for it had lots of room, clean, interesting and very private. We had a WONDERFUL time and would recommend this place to all our friends.

New Years

Several couples including family and friends came to spend the days leading up the New Years. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, both the Ranch House and the Lodge as well as the outdoor areas to eat and gather by the fire. We made friends with the mother and baby donkeys and the friendly outdoor cat. Although we ate several nights on the property we enjoyed dining in Wimberly too. We will definitely return.

Family Getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at Relics Ranch. The place was perfect with so much love and detail poured into every inch. We were in awe of how beautiful the property was. The Ranch is in a perfect location with easy access to downtown Wimberly and the surround wineries/breweries. French Family Retreat 2024

My family has attempted to have a family reunion for years. This reunion was intended to celebrate Nana and Papa Frenchs 50th wedding anniversary and numerous birthdays. We succeeded. Relic Ranch was an ideal vacation spot for both adults and children. The seclusion and beauty of the property are big selling points. Overall, all of us hope to return in the future.

Family Get Together for Total Eclipse

Everyone from age 4 to 70 loved our time at this special ranch. We loved being together in the outdoors with lots of room for all 12 of us. We hunted for fossils, enjoyed feeding the mini donkeys, made friends with the kitty, relaxed in the pool and spa, took walks and hung out and played games together. We cooked outdoors and enjoyed the outdoor fireplace in the evening. A great time was had by all!

Wonderful Wimberly Holiday

Our family of 12 adults enjoyed a fantastic week at Relics Ranch. The property is spacious, warm, and comfortable...perfect for a large gathering. The outdoor spaces are wonderful and the weather was perfect. Bex & David are great hosts and the ranch is beautifully appointed with interesting finds and all the kitchen equipment you could need. Taco Ocho Trip to the Rustic

Our Taco Ocho crew absolutely adored staying at the Rustic! It has so much charm and beauty. There were 10 of us, we each had our own room. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The outside space is incredible. We stayed out late every night in the pool and hot tub watching the stars and satellites fly over head - it was stunning. June Carter and Loretta Lynn, the donkey’s, were so cute and the kitty was friendly. We can’t wait to book it again!!

F1 Weekend

Bex was a great host and we enjoyed our stay very much. She responded very quickly to any questions or concerns we had. The ranch was very beautiful and the decorating was spot on. If you are looking for a TX ranch experience, privacy, and a nice pool and hot tub, this is your spot. Town is about 10mins from ranch with some nice places to dine. COTA is about 45min away if you are going for F1. It is a pretty simple drive as well.

We love this place!!!

Relic Ranch was the perfect place for our family gathering. Bex and David were very helpful and responsive. We especially enjoyed the pool and outdoor kitchen, patio and fireplace. We even made smore's in the fire even though it was June. The donkeys know how to tell you when they get hungry and everyone loved feeding them. The front patio swings and chairs were a perfect place to gather for coffee in the morning. So many beautiful places to visit are nearby...I especially loved the Limestone Terrace Vineyard that is walking distance from the ranch. I highly recommend this place for your next large gathering with family or friends!!

Could we have picked a better place?

I don't think we could've picked a better place for our family and friends to be together celebrating my son's wedding in Dripping Springs. Relics Ranch far exceeded our expectations with plenty of room for our group to be together or spread out. The grounds are simply amazing with beautiful hill country landscaping and lots of privacy. The homes were clean and welcoming, impeccably appointed, and well maintained. The beds were comfy and the hosts were just great. We especially appreciated Bex and David's unique touches throughout. Lots of memories were made! Highly recommend Relics Ranch.

Amazing Property & Hosts

In one word "WOW"! We stayed at Relics Ranch for our son's (March) Dripping Springs wedding. The two homes beauty is surpassed only by the history they both contain! Incredible detail, architecture and design. The outdoor area is amazing for hosting outdoor dining and relaxation. The donkeys are fun to feed and watch as is birdie the property cat. Bex and David are fantastic (and accessible) hosts. The 11 acres, filled with oak trees provide an amazing Texas landscape and peace! We'll be back!

Truly Amazed

The ranch did not disappoint! The pictures are exactly what you will see at the ranch among so many little personal touches. All the beds are cozy and comfortable. The outdoor space is kept up and so much fun. The speakers were perfect. The hot tub was easy to use. The owners really poured their heart and soul into the property and it shows. We had the best stay and everyone wants to go back! If you're deciding between this spot and another, choose this one! There's no way you could be disappointed in it.

College friends weekend away!

The Relics Ranch is not to be missed! This lovely gem is tucked away in a delightful, quiet and peaceful location. Both of the housing components are fully equipped and appointed with any and all items you would need on your vacation. The kitchen is equipped for you to do anything you would want to do in the kitchen, the bathrooms are fully stocked with toiletries, there are plenty of beach towels for use at the pool, etc. The beds are comfortable and had lovely bedding. The houses are both decorated with upscale eclectic pieces of furniture and art. The owners were responsive and friendly when we reached out to them. This was a wonderful experience for our group of seven friends, The Queen B's - we will be back!!!

70th Birthday celebration and Family reunion

Relics Ranch is a real gem! We booked this place for a family reunion with our 5 adult children and spouses/girlfriends and 2 grandchildren, and celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday. It exceeded our expectations and everyone said it was the best time ever and would do it again. Given the hot August temperatures, we lived in the pool and cabana. Soooo much fun! David and Bex have thought of everything to accommodate all needs and make you feel comfortable as if you are at home. They were communicative and quickly responded to inquiries. Having the kitties and donkeys on the property to help feed are an added treat for not only the little kids, but big kids too! I highly recommend this gem!
