「Quite a quirky place in the Victorian area of Omaru. The room was compact and probably the same layout as it was in Victorian time. The room and bathrooms were clean. The kitchen was a bit disorganised. The staff were lovely and very keen to help in any way they could.」

「房子主人是一對友善的老夫妻，用心的經營感覺的出來，地理位置也不錯距離藍眼企鵝的景點開車不用5分鐘。比較特別的是因為這裡有隻貓咪很調皮，所以房子主人禁止房客在屋內煮魚，除了魚以外的反而都可以，而且附近有New World超市所以購物方便，廚房工具也很齊全，可以烤，煎食物，要料理魚的話戶外有提供BBQ工具供房客使用。」

The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Overall, a fantastic experience — I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting Oamaru.」

「Colonial Lodge Motel汽车旅馆环境整洁、停车方便、床褥舒适。附近一个新世界“New World”大超市也方便我们购物。前台老板中文接待，让我们的交流少了一些障碍。还赠送了两盒牛奶，不错。这里到奥玛鲁蓝企鹅栖息地夜看小企鹅归巢也相当方便。」
