The staff was very nice and communicated all of the check-in procedures clearly. The property itself could use some renovation and updating. However, the location is convenient for exploring and hiking in North Cascades National Park.

A great place to stay with friendly help, but hard to carry a suitcase up the stairs to the second floor. They had a Keurig coffee maker, but it didn't work---sad. Very quiet place with new paint and lovely views!

It’s an older inn, so don’t expect a modern and spacious room. I would describe it as clean and quaint, and the staff are very friendly. Lots of parking, and close to the town of Winthrop.

By the time of this writing, the property is undergoing a complete renovation (which was needed). This includes inside and out. Our room was clean and comfortable, the staff was great. Don't expect a 5 star hotel, just a good place to rest your head while you tour the beautiful countryside. Good luck with the new look!

The Winthrop Inn is in the middle of a remodel. Arriving at the property we were hesitant looking at pallets and boxes laying around the entrance. Fortunately, the rooms had been remodeled and updated and were very nice. However, the room rate I felt was too high..$233 per night for the condition of the rest of the hotel

The room is undergoing remodeling.. new entry door, vanity and commode. So that's good. The bedcovers are worn but sufficient. Noise from upstairs neighbor was a hinderance.. loud footsteps, moving furniture, voices heard... but it did eventually stop. The coffee pot did not work, and that was a problem.

Good place to stay. Helpful staff. It appears that they are in the process of refreshing the property. Our room had been refreshed and I found it very comfortable. My partner noticed an odor in our room that bothered her. I found it subtle, and suspect its source was off-gassing from either the new paint or new carpet. If you're sensitive, it's something to be aware of. I suspect the issue will resolve with time. The refresh was still in progress in the hallways, so they were a bit messy, and that will also resolve with time. The motel sits back from the road, and is quiet as a result. We found the location convenient.

The room #207 on the second floor was great, clean and with main amenities. The only problem was the lock of the restroom as it was not working properly and we could not open the restroom from the inside. No issues for us, as we were two guests, but if a single person would be using the room, he/she could stuck in the restroom for a long time. This must be fixed for future guests.
