Weekend Getaway

My sons and I enjoyed our time at the cabin for a weekend. It was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessities. We enjoyed meals on the screened-in porch and nights by the campfire. Many fun things to do in the surrounding area. We would definitely come here again.

Cabin in the woods

We stayed at this cabin to do an electric bike ride and it was perfect. We rode bikes during the day on the nearby bike trails and went back to the cabin at night. Nice kitchen fireplace comfortable beds. It was a terrific trip in a great old timey cabin that has serious modern upgrades!!

Bald Eagles

Had an amazing stay! Was a beautiful setting. Loved the screen porch with hanging lights. We enjoyed the location and surrounding towns. Beautiful forest and farm lands. We were lucky to watch 2 Bald eagle's hunting Penns creek. Was a bucket list wish of my boyfriend's. Thank you for a great stay! We can't wait to come back for a longer stay!

Quiet getaway in the woods

Such a wonderful experience staying at this property. Everything was clean, newly updated and very cozy. I have stayed in several rentals in Woodward and this is one of the best. Would definitely stay there again!

Diamond in the woods

Fishing and psu getaway

Awesome cabin, not the right description, house in the woods. My wife visited psu with me for a day, first time in 40 years since graduation, we live far away. Fishing was awesome despite the heavy rains.... Will rent here again John

Clean & Comfortable!

My college friends and I met up for a long weekend at the cabin. We had a great stay. The cabin was super clean & had everything we needed for cooking, coffee & opening wine! We each had our own bedroom & appreciated the comfortable beds & cozy bedding. The whole cabin has modern decor and great wifi. The property is lovely & you feel very much in nature- but we drove to a Weis & restaurant in less than 20 minutes. Would recommend!

Nice Forest location with modern amenities

The photos are accurate and do not do this cabin justice. The cabin itself is located on the edge of Bald Eagle Forest, just inside of Centre county. The furnishings are very comfortable, great for relaxing and unwinding. The kitchen is VERY well stocked and equipped. This cabin was EXTERMELY CLEAN!! Given the location was expecting a lot of dust, cobwebs, etc., but none found. The linens and towels are newer and of good quality. The lot for the cabin is mowed, so you have a yard to play in with kids. Owner's WIFI worked well (you probably won't get any other service here regardless of carrier). There is a cross country ski trail just in front of the property that can be used for hiking. We went fishing at Penn's Creek (about 25 min). Plenty of dining options within 20 minutes of cabin, west to Millheim, east to Mifflinburg. You can barely see one other cabin through the trees, so while close you have plenty of privacy. Although we knew there were other families nearby from the occasional car passing the cabin driveway, we didn't hear a peep (no party cabins nearby!) All in all a great location with great amenities to get away from things. Note- Do not attempt to drive a low clearance car there (sports car type). Ave. car or SUV will get by just fine, but the driveway is gravel with some ruts, so low riding cars may bottom out. Highly recommend.
