I stayed multiple days for work. Overall, the property was clean and attempts have been made to modernize an aged hotel. Continental breakfast was subpar - cold cereal, toast, pre-packaged muffins, yogurt, hard boiled eggs. No hot breakfast other than toast.
My biggest complaint was my room. I was on the 2nd floor and my room was damp. I ran the bathroom fan 24/7 in addition to the air conditioner at a 68 degree setting. It was humid this weekend outdoors but the bedding and carpet felt wet.
The carpet was sticky. And when I would get up from the bed, my clothing felt damp. Could’ve just been my room, but there was little to no ventilation that I could tell. I would have asked for a different room but as I said I was there for work and would’ve had to repack and unpack multiple days worth of belongings and food prior to or following a 12 hour shift with an hour of drive time.
Other things to note. There’s one main entrance in and out. The doors do not have an automatic/handicap accessible button. There is no elevator. If you are staying on the second floor be prepared to use the stairs. I am able bodied, but when I stay, I pack a lot for work, buy groceries, etc. It was an inconvenience when my hands/arms were full trying to open doors and making multiple treks up and down the stairs at the beginning and end of my stay.
