"Beautiful property within the ancient walls of Xi’an. Especially excellent for the price point. Loved how clean and functional the property was including free soup delivered by robot. Especially loved the above and beyond service of Anna when she helped us with our luggage to the car on check out whilst providing some insightful of the beaten track tips for exploring our next destination of Chongqing. Her genuine happiness was infectious and filled us with a smile for the whole day - thank you :)"

Grand Hyatt Xi An

"I had high expectations for the Grand Hyatt Xi'an, but unfortunately our stay did not live up to its five-star reputation. The hotel itself is beautiful and impressive in size, but that's where the "grand" experience ended for us. We booked two rooms, and the air conditioning in one of them did not work. We reported the problem, but it was never fixed during our stay. Our late-night check-in was disappointing. The front desk agent did not explain the hotel amenities, breakfast, or lounge access, and did not tell us about the security deposit. Instead, my credit card was charged for the full amount of both rooms again, even though the stay had already been prepaid, creating unnecessary confusion. The Executive Lounge was also underwhelming, with a very limited food and beverage selection that did not meet the standards I expect from a Grand Hyatt. For a luxury hotel, service should be exceptional, but it simply wasn't. While the building is attractive and the rooms are spacious, the overall guest experience did not justify the price or the five-star rating. There are better values in Xi'an, and based on our experience, I would choose another hotel on my next visit."

"We arrived at the Renaissance Xi'an Hotel without particularly high expectations, but the hotel exceeded them in every way. We had a truly enjoyable stay. One of the highlights was the Executive Lounge. The evening offerings included an excellent variety of high-quality food, making it one of the better hotel lounges we have experienced. Breakfast was also outstanding, with a wide selection of choices and excellent service. The staff were professional, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We were traveling with my 89-year-old father-in-law, and as soon as we arrived, the team immediately provided a wheelchair without us having to ask, which made a tremendous difference and demonstrated their commitment to guest care. The hotel itself is modern and fun, with several service robots that deliver items to guest rooms, adding a unique touch to the experience. Our room was comfortable, offered a nice view, and the air conditioning worked perfectly—especially appreciated during the summer heat. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. On our departure day, the hotel securely stored our luggage while we spent the day exploring Xi'an. They also graciously extended our checkout until 3:00 PM, which was incredibly helpful and much appreciated. Overall, we had an excellent experience. Between the outstanding lounge, attentive staff, comfortable rooms, and thoughtful service, the Renaissance Xi'an Hotel made our visit memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly"
