Beautiful location!

The house is in a beautiful location! Lots of room for the whole family. The only downfall was that the hot tub stopped working a few weeks before our stay. They did give us a discount on our stay because of that, but we really missed not having a hot tub.

Beautiful view

Beautiful location, home needs updating. The house needs painted and repairs to many areas. The kitchen could use some updated appliances like pans,scissors,casserole dishes. We had to go buy several items just to cook. The drains in the bathrooms were clogged, needs maintenance. The windows were stunning but unfortunately we had to go buy window cleaner as they were awful dirty. You could see cleaner sprayed and just dripping down them where the cleaner didn’t even wipe it. Many areas weren’t cleaned well. The washing machine is terribly moldy, black mold. It smelled up the whole garage and into house. We really loved the house and location, we just really thought you needed to know what needs taken care of to make this home worth that price.

Birthday Weekend at the Beach

Great location. It was quiet and peaceful. Loved the views of the ocean from the family room; dining/ kitchen area; and second floor balcony. The space has plenty of room and there is ample parking for four vehicles. The property manager was very responsive when we called about loss of WiFi in the house and a minor maintenance issue. However, the space needs a deep cleaning. Kitchen cabinets and stairway handrails are sticky and need to be cleaned. The main level common bathroom shower had sand and hair in the drain. Linens need to be replaced. Towels are faded; threadbare; and do not match. Mattresses are extremely uncomfortable and worn to the point of providing minimal back support. The kitchen was missing basic cookware; inadequately equipped; and definitely not a gourmet kitchen as advertised. There were no baking sheets or baking pans. There were only two large skillets meaning there were no small or medium sized skillets. There was only a single measuring cup. The dining table was ample for eight people; but there were only five dining chairs. None of the light switches were marked making it not so easy to light up the rooms. A house manual would be helpful to explain how to use the facility. Access to the beach is about a five minute walk down a gravel road. You pass two houses under construction and two finished homes. We enjoyed our stay - lovely ocean views-easy beach access. The house is spacious. It needs to be updated and deep cleaned

Just okay

No working lights on the patio or hot tub area. Track lights on the eat bar had no bulbs. Overall kitchen was dark. Kitchen was under equipped, not even a wisk or baking sheet. Garbage can full when we arrived . I think the house has electrical issues, saw several outlets that were burnt. House needs major outside maintenance.

Beautiful Location

This large property had enough space for everyone and we were not all right on top of each other. The Beautiful views and relaxing sounds of the ocean were great. Just a wonderful place for us to relax and spend time together.

Great house on the beach

The house is great. Very spacious, on the beach. There were a few things that need to be replaced such as the coffee pot lid, The faucet handle in the main floor shower it is stripped, the family room couch is dirty, it need to be cleaned or replaced. But overall it was a great place to stay. Lots of towels, lots space and sleeps more than I expected. Beautiful view, close access to town. I would stay here again.

Disappointed

The property manager was excellent!! The house was dirty,the BBQ was filthy. We spent over 2 hrs cleaning floors and under furniture. Cob webs in several areas. Curtains have not been cleaned I would say since they got hung. Stains on all of the bedroom doors. Holes in carpet going up stairs.The couch in the main living room is filthy. The heater in the master didn't work,they did bring small space heater but we could not use as we had an infant and it was hot to touch. The bedding smelled and the towels so we had to wash them before we could use them. The microwave works but was broken. The jets in the spa don't all work but was still very nice to sit in under the stars and was clean.The access to the beach is not user friendly. Main lights in kitchen don't work or in stair case. There is no cell service so you have to be on WiFi. For larger groups not enough towels for showering. The outside chairs are older and rusty so I suggest bringing some if possible. There is a high chair and we disinfected and cleaned the cob webs off so its ready for the next little one. The screen on the balcony door is broken and our little one cut his finger. This needs replaced.Overall nice house just needs updated and a deep clean and landscaping cleaned up around it along with LARGE pot holes in driveway.The views are breath taking! The property management was wonderful and very friendly.

The location is great and it has a number of beds to accommodate our larger group. However there were multiple things broken, weird messages written by past guests that had not been removed, the upstairs shower leaks as much water as comes out of the shower head, there are no towel racks (?!), the place was kinda clean if you just glanced at the surface but we had a bed that appeared made but was dirty with sand in between the sheets and all of the dishes were pretty dirty and gross and stained/dirty walls/doors. I stayed in this place 9 years ago and it was a bit nicer, it has taken a beating and hasn’t been well cared for unfortunately.

Weekend trip

House was perfect our family, plenty of room. Could have more frying pans, only had one small one. Hot tub was a nice plus. Great view of the ocean, and not too far to walk to the beach.

Family Vacation

Our family had an amazing time at this house and location. The view is breath taking. There is plenty of space for a large family. This house is centrally located to lots of stuff to do either direction. I know my family would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend ❤️

Could have been a lot cleaner.

We just spent Labor Day weekend here and won't be staying here again. There were 7 of us and there was plenty of room for us to spread out. This is an older home and there were also a number of things that need taken care of at the house. First thing a good cleaning. The house was very dusty, the sheets had stains and the furniture in one room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years, (we didn't use that room). We did stay and had a great time with our family but won't be staying here again.

Very Private

This home is wonderful. It is private on three sides, with bushes and trees blocking anyone looking over. The beach side seems private also because of the 20 foot bluff. The view is so beautiful. The kitchen and dining area is separate from the bedrooms. I stayed in the bedroom closest to the kitchen. You couldn't hear people talking unless someone was very loud. I highly recommend this place.

Private home with spectacular view

The best part about this home is the location. It’s private with no neighbors on either side with a spectacular view right on the ocean. There is a bluff drop off which could be a concern for little ones. The home could use some TLC but there was nothing that prevented us from thoroughly enjoying ourselves. If I was going to suggest one thing I would ask the owners to replace the blue folding chairs. So… bring your own chairs for sitting outside and you should be all set.

Funky place. Great location.

This is a very funky place. Lots of little things annoyed us such as no hooks for towels upstairs. Few towels and washcloths. Lightbulbs out. No lamps (so we couldn’t read to the kids). Cliff at end of property made it kind of scary! Had to use steps to beach at motel next door (which says no trespassing!) But loved the fire pit for s’mores, the hot tub, the lawn for playing on and the kitchen! We had a great time despite the above.

Large house, great views!

The house was easy to find, easy access for elderly as there's all one level from drive way to front door and inside the house! 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms on bottom floor was great for our big family vacation. Upstairs was nice huge kids room with 2 tw boat beds (mattress were hard) and 2 full beds all in one room! The master bdrm with deck was so nice to have fresh air ocean sounds! But no fans it was so hot Upstairs even though it was 60degrees outside! There really needs to be one central book of all the info for this house we searched for things, switches, remotes ect... also there was suppose to be bbq, there wasn't! We bought table top charcoal one & left it for the next family since it wouldn't fit in our car! Also could use ALL WALLS & DOOR WASHED. I scrubbed down what the kids would touch, but the house is older, worn in a bit, but over all was a good house for the price and location!

cleanliness and communication

Great location, the property is old and in need of maintenance. All the walls need a thorough cleaning. several light bulbs need changing. EXterior lights near the lock box were non existent making it difficult to see at night in the driving rainstorm. The parking area street light barely comes on. Timely communication from ocean odysey is a joke. We could not find the code to the lock box and spent several hours driving up to cell phone range to try to contact them We found the code and eventually entered the house. We were contacted the next day by management to see if we accessed the house.ocean Odysey said they would reimburse for the night but i do not expect to see that.
