Being right on the water was great; could hear the waves rolling in at night. The room was small and pretty basic. Bathroom was also small and basic. Beds and sheets were nice, towels were OK. Bathroom faucet was loose and let them know about the issue. If you are looking for a pretty simple basic accommodation it is fine, just don't expect too much.

We had a great stay. The hotel has a beautiful view overlooking the beach. The sound of waves put you to sleep at night. The beds are a bit on the soft side.

Very clean, needs general updates. Shower not working properly, toilet paper holder keeps falling off the wall. Porch lights overly bright black out curtains would help. Bath needs more counter space or towel bars. Nowhere to put anything down.

Great little getaway
Our room was very clean and reasonably priced, but it lacked shelf space in the bathroom for toiletries. Since the room was small, it lacked space for comfortable chairs or an extra table. It did have decent outside seating but no screen on the door so you couldn't leave it open. It certainly had great views, and it was convenient to everything! We had great weather and enjoyed walking the beach every morning!

View amazing! Bed was super comfortable. When you take a shower if other rooms are using hot water your shower goes ice cold. Shower tub super slippery. Bathroom outlet was broken and 2 in our room. No usb ports. Lifting was poor. No elevator to 3rd floor. Stamina are not steep but narrow.

We had to check out after the first night because we couldn't handle the 4 flights of stairs. Couldn't bring up our luggage. We would like a refund to our credit card for the 2 nights we didn't stay there. Also, bath tub was very slippery. Not a good place for seniors to stay.

Love the Ocean
Excellent, weather great. Day 1 wife birthday, day 2 hiked Mount Agamenticus for 3 hrs. Great watching the ocean from balcony & walking along the shore. Been coming to Maine shore for 10 years.

Loved the view!
Beautiful view from balcony, which was top of our list. Room is tight, only one dresser but we made it work. Room was newly renovated, with 2 very comfortable queen beds. The bathroom newly painted but tub needs replacing. Toilet has a small seat and is very low- this may be troublesome to some. There is only one small double hook on the bathroom door and besides a small towel bar above the toilet, no other place to hang wet towels. NO shelf space in the bathroom for toothbrush, makeup.

Walking distance to the beach, view from the deck was phenomenal, and the accommodations were great. My only criticism was the lack of a sink/ microwave in our room (may have them in other rooms that weren’t available when we booked, so that may be on us), lack of privacy sceens between the balconies, and some of the paint on the ceiling of the deck was peeling. Normally I don’t care about that but it looked older and we have young kids, so it was slightly concerning. Overall, would definitely stay here again. We loved it.

Extremely clean! Lovely room, comfortable bed,but almost no hot water at certain times of the day. Building is very old, so no elevator and a very narrow staircase to get up to the 2nd and 3rd floors. We enjoyed our stay.

This is the 2nd year we've stayed here and it is immaculate. It's very nicely decorated and looks as though it was just remodeled. We can cross the street to the beach and parking is right outside the door.

My friend and I just celebrated our "first annual" combined birthday weekend at the Grand View in York, Maine. The staff was VERY pleasant! The room was recently remodeled and was absolutely spotless! The floors are laminate and were squeaky clean! The bathroom fixtures were clearly outdated but functioned just fine. I would never imagine that the room would be over $400/night, but that might just be what the summer market rate is in York. I have stayed in much more luxurious hotels for far less $. Again, we loved being across the street from the beach and had a great time.

Only 1 suggestion as we had to leave before the office was open in the morning. Perhaps a drop box to drop keys for checkout? Just left them in room, which seemed a little unsafe?

2nd time staying there. Just a tremendous view of the ocean. Friendly housekeeping staff. We had a fire alarm in the middle of the night that took a long time to shut off but other than that it was terrific.

The property is great - staff is great - however - the products they use for cleaning and laundry are TOXIC. The fragrance smell is overpowering. Please change LESS TOXIC FRAGRANCE FREE organic cleaners.

There was no hot water on the three various occasions we tried to shower and they said they would send someone and never did I feel I should have gotten partial refund due to this also the drain had hair in it that was not ours
