Friendsgiving

We had our 20th annual Friendsgiving here. The place is amazing! I think the group consensus is we plan to book this place each year for our celebration. Hosts were very helpful and quick. View was great. Tons of rooom but I think we just stayed in the kitchen and hot tub. Thanks again! Great place for large groups.

Family wedding

Had large extended family gathering for wedding. We all traveled from Massachusetts. Location was close to family and wedding in IL. The house was great! Communication was fantastic and house was exactly as stated. Views along River are gorgeous with beautiful night sky and stars clearly visible. Cosy nights in hot tub and fire pit were perfect. Highly recommend!

Excellent Stay

Beautiful property on the river. Plenty of room in this spacious house. Downstairs was like another apartment. The yard was well landscaped and we used the firepit in the evenings. Fireflies highlighted the evening sky. Owner was responsive to our questions and concerns. Needs were addressed in a timely manner. I recommend this property to anyone staying in the area.

Perfect for a large family

Beautiful property with inspiring views. Plenty of room for 15 of us, even in the kitchen space (though we could not all be seated). Excellent communication from the property manager and flexibility to meet our desire for a little extra time on each end of the rental. A little difficult to balance the 1st and 2nd floor cooling, which is on a single thermostat, but lots of good fans helped. Only complaint was the well water.

Cousin Camp May 2024

We are a group of 15 cousins and family members ranging from mid 50’s to low 70’s. We had just spent the weekend together in the city and were looking forward to a couple days where we could just hang out and catch up. This property was the perfect location. We entered the property and the first this week noticed was the spectacular view of the Fox River. As we walked through we were delighted by how immaculate the house was. The kitchen was fully stocked with every appliance and utensil we might need. There is also plenty of room for everyone to hangout as meals are prepared and eaten. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of full bathrooms. The outside areas did not disappoint! The multilevel decks allowed us to be together and to spread out. The fire pit was nice as well. Bring a pole to dish off the dock. The only thing that might have been nice to have would have been some kayaks, but I don’t know if we would have used them. We got a lot of use from the hot tub and had no problems with it. Unlike some rental properties, there were no crazy rules posted around the house. All expectations were provided up front and none were odd or asking too much. Everyone raved about how perfect the utensil was all weekend. I would definitely rebook if the opportunity arises. Limit is 5⭐️ but I’ll give them 10.

Family reunion

My kids, grandkids ages 8-17 stayed for 4 days in December. It was nice that the house was decorated. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. We visited the Farnsworth House nearby which was really interesting!
