An old lodge right on the ocean, near a boat harbor. The rooms were attractive, in a nautical decor. The food at the restaurant was very good. Nice walks along the beach.

Perfect location

This place is all you hope it's going to be. Quaint, picturesque, quiet, and the food is so good. I'm thrilled we spent a night there and hope to find more places as good in my future travels.

The smell and its effects ruined the visit

The hotel's appearance and location are second to none. A beautiful quiet harbour right on the seafront. However therein lies the problem. We stayed when the seaweed was honking its stench right across the miles of coastline on either side of the village, and right into our room. The room itself was part of the problem. No air con, in the circumstances above, meant that the windows had to be kept shut (the smell was rotten eggs and sewage) and it was HOT. A small fan was provided, but in a tiny 'twin' room that was the size of a small university dorm room from the 1980s, two beds, two tables, a tiny en-suite and a bench were squeezed together, and the whole experience was dispiriting and uncomfortable. The staff and hotel can't help the smell, but apparently it's a bit of a problem in the area, happening all too regularly, and whilst the design and styling of the hotel is perfect and redolent of the area in every way, there needs to be some investment in A/C to enable windows to be comfortably shut, and in plumbing to sort out the bathroom smells emanating from below into the en-suite. I'd have loved this place to have been fantastic as it's really beautiful, and the staff (all very young and keen to help with anything) were great. But the owners need to do some work on the infrastructure, and invest - apparently that seaweed is going nowhere fast, and warm, onshore windy days aren't uncommon in that part of the world. We were told the smell is worse in winter.

Topdollar, lækkert og hjemligt, nærværende sted.

Bongska Huset er et sted hvor det “oser” af hygge og hjemligt. Udsigten fra værelserne ud mod havnen og vandet er helt fantastisk. Maden var total lækker og stedet er rent og pænt uden det er et sted man føler man ikke må være. Det maritime miljø og hele oplevelsen af at det er een stor familie der kører stedet, gør det som et sted vi meget gerne vil komme igen. Duften fra bageriet gjorde det sidste til at opholdet blev hævet til en oplevelse som man bare ikke kan få alle steder, da det ikke er noget der kan skabes kunstigt. Den hjemlige og varme nærværende oplevelse stedet kan tilbyde er unikt. Vi var på en familietur med 6 personer og hvor vi har overnattet på 6 fantastiske lækre hoteller; men Bongska Huset løber med titlen som vores favoritsted og hvor vi ALLE 6 vil tilbage til igen en gang og gerne med mere end en nats overnatning. TAK for oplevelsen til de unge mennesker og til de hyggelige omgivelser.

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen, die Lage direkt am Hafen ist perfekt und die Kombination mit der Bäckerei ist einzigartig. Wir haben dort vier sehr schöne Tage mit unserem Hund verbracht. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit. Wenn das Hotel nicht so weit weg wäre würden wir gern öfter hinfahren.

Värt ett besök

En dejlig oplevelse. 3 nætter i et dejlig værelse hvor man falder i søvn til lyden af bølger der ruller ind fra Østersøen. Det eneste minus var, at sengen var for blod for os. Badeværelset var fint og rent, loft lyset virkede ikke men der var rigeligt med lys fra væglampen. På værelset var der badekåbe hvis man havde de lyster at tage sig en dukkert i Østersøen, men den ene var ikke ren. Service på kroen var fantastisk. Smilede og imødekommende personale. Vi udnyttede muligheden for, at få vasket tøj som blev gjort på hoved hotellet nogle kilometer derfra. En fantastisk service. Maden på kroen var også i top. Et stort udvalg til morgenbuffeten med hjemmelavet brød og boller, 2 slags kaffe med angivelse af oprindelsesland, flere slags te, juice, shots og smoothies. Restaurantens menukort var meget varieret med både fisk og muslinger samt schnitzel og bøf. Både vin og øl var af udsøgt mærker. Så alt i alt, man får hvad man betaler for og kan varmt anbefales.
