Occidental at Xcaret Destination - All Inclusive

"The buffet was awesome and changed daily. The wildlife was amazing and everywhere...we saw several different species of birds and fish. We saw Caotis and Pacas ...a Caotis joined us for lunch on day....Very cool . Lots of iguanas. We had a visit on our balcony from spider monkeys. The rooms are very spacious and we loved the little treats left by the hotel staff daily. The pools are massive and the swim up bars were great. The beach was pristine and since it was in a cove we didn't have to deal with the red seaweed issue that many other resorts had to deal with. The Boat house is a wonderful place to have breakfast or lunch with pristine views and delicious food. The beach has several cabanas to enjoy the beachy weather and relax. They have different shows every night on their stage. The shops that were at the resort were very fair with their prices and there's always a deal to be made. The hotel staff from front desk/guest services to every wait staff and cleaning staff couldn't be friendlier. This place is awesome and amazing and we can't wait to go back again!!!!"

"This was our first experience in Cancun and also our first at an all inclusive. We were immediately greeted with helpful staff and champagne and had everything explained to us. All staff were very friendly and courteous and we loved it. My only issue is the pools close early at 1800 but they would usually let people mingle until 1830-1845. Beach access was perfect. Again this was our first time and we loved it but we have nothing to compare too. Would book here again"

"We had a wonderful experience. The staff are amazing! The room was gorgeous. The pools are endless and food and drinks were very good for an all-inclusive. I suggest getting out early if you want a chair or spend a little extra for a cabana and massage. We felt very safe and plan to be back in a just a few months!"

"Hotel was great. The front desk was super helpful and friendly. Waitresses and waiters were amazing! They work hard so make sure to tip them! The pool area was clean and beautiful. The ocean depended on the day and If a big wave came in with sargassum. However, the staff are out every morning raking it and cleaning the area. Housekeeping was very thorough when cleaning as well! Great relaxing environment!"

"Food excellent. Service great. Pool could use cleaning. Activities bland. Dj music was not modern or in style. Beach shuttle took too long. Chairs and seating area need cleaning and upkeeping. Rooms had paper thin walls. Heard everything. Didn’t give it 5 stars due to cleanliness mostly. Road to hotel was incredibly bumpy and uncomfortable."

"My stay at Riu in Mexico was absolutely amazing! From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by comfort, beauty, and relaxation. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and professional, always making sure every guest felt welcome. The housekeeping team did an outstanding job keeping everything spotless and well-maintained. The bars, buffet, restaurants, and nightly entertainment were all exceptional. Every detail exceeded my expectations. I spent five unforgettable days here, and I was truly amazed by the beauty of this resort. It was one of the best vacation experiences I’ve ever had. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. I can’t wait to come back"
