The property itself was fine, and it was very handy for the city centre. It was, however, a little difficult to find: Googlemaps advice was confusing, and the public area around the property was a tad run down and chaotic.

Parking was so terrible and risky to drive around. This place is not recommended for people w cars. Stairs are so steep and sleepery, my husband fell off the staircases.

Dear Joseph, thank you for your review. First we would like to mention that we do not offer a parking space. We offered you upon your arrival that there are plenty of parking spaces (surcharge) in the surrounding, but you decided to park your car for free next to the house which is not an official parking space. Regarding the stairs it is mentioned on our website that this is the oldest house in the old town of Zadar and that we have a spiral staircase. Hope your husband is fine since you did not mention to us that this happened!? Hope you still had a good time and enjoyed our beautiful city.

We liked the location. It had a neighborhood feel and easy walking distance to many attractions, like the Sea Organ. There are many church's in the surrounding area, so bells can be heard regularly.

Perfect Old Town Apartment
The apartment was perfectly located in Old Town Zadar. Vera, our wonderful host, came to meet us to help us with parking. She then gave us a thorough overview of places to see, eat and relax. Her advice for us was spot on - I guess she knew what she was talking about with her 50ish years of living there. The apartment had everything we expected and hearing the church bells on Sunday morning was memorable! We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this accommodation for your stay in Zadar!

Short break.
Great location. Owners are helpful and accommodating. Good value and decent apartment. Would be useful to have TV instructions for us old guys :) A toaster would also have been good. Overall great value though and we would fully recommend this establishment.

great kocation, even better manager.
it was very good. also the manager was ver accommodating. my wife hurt her leg ans he moved us to a lower floor. it was very much appreciated. this place is excellently located in the ild town.

Loved that the sea organ old town and port was just a 2 min walk you can basically walk everywhere! Room was very clean and comfortable!! Some rooms are at the top but the man help us carry luggage up and down and even parked the car for us.( the space was really reduced.)

The flat is very well situated, very clean, well equiped. Grazdana was very helpful, explained everything we had to know about the apartment and told us all about Zadar, she did organise the taxi for us. She was always there when needed. We did enjoy our stay in Zadar.

Perfect location - highly recommend
Grozdana was so friendly and informative. The location was perfect - 2 minutes from Sea Organ . Our flats were comfortable with a little kitchenette/ dining area. Thankfully our suitcases were carried up as we were on the top floor. The building is +-700 years but the interior is very modern. Highly recommended

Darling apartment. Perfect location. Minutes from the Donat church and the Sea Organ and The Greeting to the Sun. Great service. They park your car. Let them. Friendly. Have to pay in cash.

Great Location, Amazing Friendly Staff
Great stay! Extremely convenient location. Inside the old town and a few steps from the sea organ, a few steps from the Cathedral and Bell Tower yet very quiet and comfortable. Staff was super friendly and even saved a parking spot for me right in front. Grozdana and her colleague were super friendly and helpful..

Apartments Donat is in an excellent location. Very close to the shops and sea organ; everything is within easy walking distance! Communication with Grozdana was great as she was quick to respond to all of my concerns. She was also very accommodating for our late arrival. Would absolutely recommend this property when visiting Zadar!

The apartment although v small was very well finished. It's in a great location with free parking which is unusual in the middle of an old town. Grozdana the host was very efficient and attentive. Zadar was lovely and this accomodation, small as it is, is a great base to see the city.

The reception lady was so friendly and helpful and carried our bags up the one flight of spiral stairs. Our last place we had to do 3 floors by ourselves so this was so good. Position was very central.

Really great welcome process. Grozdana was very helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, explaining local area and recommendations. The room was clean and modern, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend to others.

Excellent location in old town. Had parking space right next to building though in very tight street. Nicely remodeled units in 700 year old building. Our 3rd floor unit included a 2 burner stove, fridge and full complement of silverware and pots and pans though ran out of salt. Unit size was generous for 2 persons though the stairs are narrow and steep. Very helpful staff lugged our heavy luggage up and down to our room. Fast free wifi. Short walk to self service laundry was big plus.

Such a charming place! We spent a night in Zadar halfway between Krka National Park and Plitvice Lakes. I wish we could have stayed longer. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and exactly what we needed. We were able to easily walk to the Sea Organ and Sun Salutation as well as restaurants, cafes, and bars. The staff was very accommodating with arrival and even saved parking for us.

Not a hotel! Friendly owners but tiny and inconven
First off, as the name of the place suggests, this is not a hotel and as such shouldn’t be listed on Orbitz and other websites as such. The contact person for the place was very nice and the place was clean, but it was very inconvenient. It’s a tiny room with two extremely narrow single beds (that cannot be pushed together). It has an even tinier bathroom. When you are in the bathroom, you can barely close the door because your body gets in the way and there’s nowhere to move. Only a very thin person could fit in the shower and even then can barely turn around without accidentally shifting the faucet. Furthermore, the drainage is slow so you end up with water overflowing. There is also somewhat of a foul smell from the bathroom in the evening. In addition, because it’s not a hotel, you don’t get the typical amenities one gets at hotels, such as shampoo and soup. There is a liquid soup dispenser such as the ones in public bathrooms. The location is close to the main areas of interest in the old city but also close to a bell tower that wakes you up every morning at 7:00 am. At night it was hard to sleep because the air conditioner is noisy. I mentioned this to the owners and they tried to fix it, but the noise returned after a few hours. I feel bad that I can’t offer a better review because the people running the place were very nice, but it was truly inconvenient and I cannot recommend it.

We would like to inform you that this is not a hotel at first place since the name is: Apartments Donat, also we would like to inform you that you could see the size of the apartment before even making reservation. Actually apartment is perfect size per 2 persons (as all of our reviews says). Furhtermore, we have shampoo at the reception and we are giving it for FREE to our guests but you did not ask for it and soap we do have in apartment. Even tho we are not a hotel (as you could see also in the different prices-hotels are having tripple higher prices 270€ per night and you payed 80€): 1.we gave you LATE check in for FREE, 2.we arranged you FREE parking in the Center of Zadar (Old town) all 4 days of your stay with us, 3.we cleaned your car for FREE, 4.we were keeping your lugagge after check out for free, 5.take your luggage up and down for FREE,. That is all our service, even if we are not hotel. So next time maybe you should book a hotel with much higher price and maybe you will get the service and room that will be conveniente for you ) Since you were staying in the Old town (historical and most beautiful part of Zadar) to hear the church bells is a normal thing since here is over than 15 churches from 9th century and more. Regarding air condition- we had over 300 guest and non of them ever mentioned that is noisy and we also did not notice that. Regarding bed size- we have normal size beds that CAN be put together, you just needed to request it. We are very sorry that you did not feel ok, but we are giving our best for all of our guests and really take care that we are 24/7 avaliable for our guests for all of their requests.
