“First - these folks are so nice, and the location right outside the Great Sand Dunes National Park can't be beat. The full fridge and freezer worked well, and the mini kitchenette would be nice if we stayed longer (my roomie noticed skillets, no saucepan, and one knife, so limited equipment). We had issues with noise, however. One can hear everything through the walls. When you have a family next door that can't use their inside voices, forget about sleep. “I wish I could give more than 3 stars to this property because I do think the staff are doing the best they can. The beds were clean, the breakfast buffet was well stocked, and anytime we needed help the staff were great.
The hotel needs quite a few upgrades:
-the pool “waterpark” doesn’t have a functioning hot tub or slide, it’s just a pool (although it’s very warm which we loved).
-the furniture in the game area needs replaced as well as others around the hotel. The chair in our room was……
