We liked its historical significance. We were a bit disappointed when during the tour of the castle the visit of the Mucha-related rooms (the object of our main interest) was rushed and cut very short.

There wasen’t any hot water when we arrived in the evening. The staff told us it was because they were fully booked and the hot water has been used. We have never experienced this before at any place and the spa that we had also smelled really bad when we tried to use it. They didn’t compensate in any way. Can’t recomend the place, are not comming back.

念願のお城に泊まれて嬉しかった。 ベッドルームとバスルームが同じくらいの大きさでびっくり。 天井がたかくてお城を感じられた。 古いのでドアの開閉音は大きめ。 TVはつけ方がよくわからなかった。 周りが軽いハイキングコースになっていて朝散歩した。 朝食が豊富でよい。 温菜はしっかり温められていた。 フレーバーティーが豊富でよかった。 ガイドツアーはチェコ語しかなく、英語のオーディオガイドやテキストを借りたが、ガイドツアーでしか入らない場所に入れたのでとてもよかった。 wifiも使用できて良い。 1泊分の荷物だけ持って、プラハから電車とバスと徒歩で来た。山？丘？を歩いて登った先にあるので、プラハに荷物を置いてきて正解だった。

Super fijn verblijf

Super mooi, goed onderhouden hotel in een kasteel. Het thema is overal doorgevoerd. Bediening in het restaurant is zelfs in passende kleding. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Elke dag huishoudservice. Prachtige omgeving, half uurtje van Praag, wat zekee een bezoek waard is. Wij hebben een super fijn verblijf gehad!

Definitely not 5 star....

I don't know which standards rated this as a 5* hotel. Everything costs extra - even using the pool was €20 per person for an hour. Beds weren't very big and me being tall, I had to crouch together. No air con, so room didn't have great climate. Room was pretty worn down and had a tiny TV. There were some holes in the curtains (probably from people smoking) that was patched together. Breakfast was terrible - soggy eggs at a 5* hotel? And super dry bread... Also, there was a cat in the restaurant which seemed to live there and people would feed.. Not great hygiene..... Hotel restaurant at night, was great food and bathroom looked amazing - not practical to shower though, as there was only a tub and no shower curtain, so everything got wet. I planned this as a surprise on a roadtrip for my mom and it sounded great on paper.. Also - watch your side mirrors if parking here.. That gate has definitely killed a lot of those!

Schwimmbad und Sauna fehlt

Das Hotel wirbt mit Schwimmbad und Sauna. Diese wäre vorab zu reservieren und separat zu zahlen. Hierfür fehlte jeglicher Hinweis - ich war enttäuscht. Auch wenn das Hotel und Service sonst gut war.

Awesome castle hotel on a hilltop

This place was awesome!!! We have been touring old castles in the Czech Republic and it was a privilege to stay in this beautifully restored place. The price was quite reasonable as well and the restaurant very good. The picture is the view from our room.

czech country castle retreat

Lovely place. Staff very nice. Hotel is clean. Free parking. A great getaway. our party had two rooms, a standard and deluxe. Neither room had a shower, just a very nice, very large bathroom with a big tub with attached hand held shower. This may be an inconvenience for some and even difficult for less mobile/older folks to get in and out of the huge bathtub. WiFi very poor in the rooms. Mostly nonexistent unless in restaurant and even then it was spotty. Out in the countryside so very easy to sleep well- very dark and quiet at night.

Gorgeous stay

Staying in a castle with its own vineyard on your European vacation IS possible! Not only is this a beautiful property surrounded by a gorgeous county view, there is convenient (and free parking) and a fantastic restaurant on site. Breakfast is beautiful in a great Great Room with plenty of good choices, the rooms have great character, there are trails on the property you can wander and enjoying the gardens in a quiet and atmospheric setting at a very reasonable price are extra vacation memories in the making.
