"My stay at Casa Borka was great and Isabella was very helpful in booking transport and answering my questions. My flight got in early and I was allowed to come in to drop my bags. All around a very comfortable room and stay. One thing to note is this is not a hotel. Staff is not always available at the property aside from check-in and check-out. However they are available and very communicative on WhatsApp to make arrangements and answer questions. "

"The best service I’ve ever had in a hotel - anywhere. My husband and I arrived sick - they literally walked us to our room, called doctors, brought us water and bread (the only thing we could keep down), and frequently checked on us. We healed quickly with their help. Another plus - individually controlled AC. We were able to have a very cold room to heal and relax in. Also get the rooftop massages, book in advance."

"This is a new boutique 9 room hotel that has been written up in several architecture magazines. It is pretty striking- using sharp edged concrete everywhere with a dramatic circle theme in the lobby with its pool and sitting areas. The architecture is why we booked here. The restaurant food is excellent, however, we were insulted because the included breakfast only offered lesser breakfast fare compared with the rest of the menu. For the very high price to stay here, you weren't allowed bacon...

"Solo female traveller-great location close to eateries and beach close to several gyms. Ion a side street lots of construction which didn’t disturb me. Be prepared for a lot of dogs barking at all hours. Some nights were difficult to sleep and others were quiet. It just is that way. The hotel itself was perfect. Friendly staff and 24 hour front desk. Felt safe. Rooms were clean and had hot water. Fresh fruit in the morning was lovely. "

"Cons: Expedia said Spanish/English language. NOBODY at the hotel speaks English. Pool hours close at 9pm. Pool was in operation till 11:00 pm on 3 of 6 nights and quite noisy as a result. Pets not allowed - yet noticed dog poop outside our door twice. After 6 days the room safe still not operational. While the staff was polite and friendly they didn’t seem overly concerned about much. It does not seem to them that they are running a hotel. Stay was OK but we expected much more...
