“The property is lovely, featuring ample lighting and attractive communal spaces. Its location is ideal for walking throughout the entire colonial zone. The room is very clean; it is somewhat small, but still suitable for sleeping.”

“I stayed in El Beaterio for 4 nights. It’s such a beautiful casa museo located in a quiet area. The room is nice and clean decorated with old maps of La española. The courtyard has lots of sunlight and plants that I enjoyed my breakfast here (though you need to apply mosquito repellent as they are quite active if you come in early morning like 6-8am) Check out the terrace in the early morning and you would get a nice photo with sun rise. The staff here are very nice. I stayed in the room……

“Pros: the location, beautiful shared areas (Lobby, rooftop terrace bar, decoration), safety. Cons: the rooms are tiny (description said two queen beds and it was smaller (full beds), A/C did not work consistently and in this Caribbean heat that meant terrible sleep for everyone. You can also hear everything in the hallway. Our room’s bathroom made a very loud creaking noise when you closed it for privacy. Unless this hotel gets major room updates, I’d skip it.”

“302房间是带圆形阳台的，特别棒！在这里住了两天，第一天在304，没有阳台，很幸运第二天换到了304。酒店位于殖民区的中间，在美洲大教堂的旁边，去周围的景点很方便。附近停车位不太好找。”

“Service was great and facility is beautiful but the rooms have a strong smell of humidity and the sheets feel as if they are wet due to the high level of humidity”

“Check in was easy, the owner provided me with bldg and room access. Hotel rules was explained via email in details. I only had one issue with no shower gel. But the reception came and explain the issue and rectified the situation the same day.Adefra staff member Omar Molina was on point with making breakfast the way I preferred it and assisted me with points of interest around Santo Domingo.”

“Overall a great experience. Very accommodating staff. There was a water leak from rain and they checked it out and moved our room quickly. Any time we had questions the staff was happy to help. The breakfasts were good as well. Great place to stay and in a beautiful historic part of the city.”

“I didn’t enjoy my stay here and only stayed for 48 hours. Actually I booked my stay for 2 weeks, now I will admit the hotel is clean the breakfast is a joke they only serve 2 mini side pancakes a tiny cup of coffee with a tiny egg. If you decide you want a second portion you have to pay extra but this is their version of a continent breakfast. In the hotel policy you are able to have guest up until 10pm each night, if any guest stays after 10pm you will be charged $30. I fully understood……
