Great view of Sakurajima active volcanic island. Handy bus shuttle service to and from the hotel/ railway station.
Excellent buffet restaurant food. Service and staff were excellent.
Only small criticism would be that the decor is quite dated but the positives far outweigh this.

Very good view against the Sakurajima island. Exceptional location. Parking fee is 1000 yen per night and it has a pretty big parking lot near the Lawson if the covered parking lot is full. Very good breakfast for about $27 two adults and two kids.

Hot spring and foot soak were amazing. Breakfast buffet also fantastic. Rooms overlooking Sakurajima were spectacular, rooms were ultra comfortable and modern. Staff rendered great service at all hours.

Incredible hotel, for what was presumably an excellent deal. Note of clarification, the room was labelled as "NO VIEW", but we were still placed on the tenth floor and got a lovely view of the rear side of the hotel, with scenic greenery, and a nice contrast of classic and modern Kagoshima. Overall great experience; staff was lovely, plenty of facilities at and near the hotel, and some of them came at quite reasonable prices for more budget-minded people like myself.
Would recommend a car as it is quite difficult to walk to and from the hotel to the city or anything central. There is a good bus that runs to popular locations, right near the reception, but it doesn't run very late and has a specific route.
Overall excellent experience 👍👍
