Stayed here for a few nights during a NYC trip. Location is genuinely convenient — close to Penn Station and an easy walk to most of Midtown — and the front desk staff were pleasant enough during check-in.
That said, a couple of things fell short. My friend, who is visually impaired, had specifically arranged in advance for an early check-in given he was arriving off an overnight red-eye flight, exhausted and needing to get settled. Despite the advance notice, the hotel wasn't able to accommodate it, and he ended up waiting around with his luggage for several hours until the standard 3:00 PM check-in time. For a guest who'd flagged a specific accessibility-related need ahead of time, this was a disappointing gap.
Breakfast was another letdown — thin offerings, and what was there wasn't good: lukewarm, bland, and clearly an afterthought rather than something the hotel takes any pride in.
Nothing here is dealbreaker-bad, and the room itself was clean and comfortable, but between the early check-in miss and the breakfast, it landed solidly in "okay" territory rather than anywhere better. Worth knowing before you book if either of those things matter to you.

Hotel Belleclaire is a beautiful very clean and well located hotel! The staff is eager to help with all your needs. The beds and linen were perfect and the free breakfast was nice. I only wish they had some more GF options. I have stayed here before and will book my next trip here again! Thank you for making us feel comfortable, safe and at home!

Such a well situated hotel slap bang in the middle of Manhattan, walking distance to most sightseeing/tourist hubs. Room was fantastic, spacious, tea/coffee making machine, fridge which was a bonus, would 100% stay here again. 5*
