It's a beautiful hotel and the breakfast that was included was the best I've ever had during a hotel stay. My view from the room was spectacular and very close to major attractions. Can't wait to stay there again.

The location was still good for a Saturday stay with a lower rate b/c subway stations are close by as is Pier 11 to get over to DUMBO quickly. The neighborhood wasn’t a ghost-town even a good bit after midnight. Room was clean and nice.

Petit hotel dont la chambre était agréeable, moderne et bien aménagée. La douche est exceptionnelle pour cette catégorie d'hôtel ! Moderne, grande, propre, bien équipée (large pomme au plafond et douchette sur flexible), pas besoin d'attendre longtemps l'eau chaude... Top. Le seul grain de sable dans l'engrenage a été de constater un ménage imparfait avec pas mal de poussière sur le chevet, non visible en journée mais révélée par l'allumage de la lampe de chevet... Mais le staff a été réactif. Un peu dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de services annexes (bar, petit déjeuner) dont on pourrait profiter notamment sur le petit rooftop. Vous serez quitte juste de pouvoir profiter du mobilier d'extérieur (canapés, fauteuils et tables basses) en y apportant les boissons en cannettes achetée à l'accueil ou votre cup de café offert.

An extra $45 a day fee that we weren't aware of but I assume that is custom for NY hotels. Automatically charged for minibar when nothing was used or consumed and took 4 calls to the desk to get charge removed is a bit perplexing. You can see your bill on the tv which is useful. In room dining is very good but pricey even with the $20 daily food credit. They didn't have tropical green smoothie the entire week which was disappointing. Didn't use laundry, gym, or any other amenities. View was incredible and everything we wanted. Room was in need of deep cleaning and upgrading. Stained walls, fading and outdated carpeting, aged and scratched furniture. Water pressure was fantastic. This was our first time in NY and we chose a spot within walking distance of everything..Intercontinental did not disappoint in that regard. If street noise, sirens, etc. is not your jam, choose somewhere else. We heard everything every night but didn't mind and even enjoyed it. Hearing the fans cheer on the Knicks in the finals from the street was incredible. Subway is right next door which is convenient. Elevators are confusing at first. Last few go to the higher floors, first few go to lower levels and offices but there is no sign or we didn't see one. All in all, we loved NY and can't wait to return but probably wouldn't stay at this location again.

It’s a beautiful hotel—well-presented, clean, and overall lovely. However, the staff experience was disappointing. We arrived for check-in after 4 PM (around 4:30), and our room wasn’t ready. We had an event at 6 PM and needed to prepare, yet we waited 20 to 30 minutes. While they offered two complimentary drinks, I would have preferred timely access to the room. Additionally, they charge around $45–$50 for an “urban experience” that includes a house car service. When I requested the house car for a short 2.3-mile trip, I was told it wasn’t available—despite seeing the hotel-branded SUV parked outside. These issues—delayed readiness and unreliable service—left a poor impression. It’s not the cheapest hotel, but these shortcomings made me unwilling to stay there again.
