Older hotel. No lift from car park to main building and lifts. Charge $22 per day parking even if you stay in hotel. Breakfast was disappointing. 1 Water for tea was cool. 2. No omelette to order. 3 scrambled eggs were made of powdered eggs or they tasted like that. 4. No prunes or tinned fruit to put on cereal. 5. Toast machine did not toast but were warned to not put in twice. If you did toast came out burnt. Should be programmed to come light toast or dark toast if put in twice. Room was very good with plenty of room and good bed and furniture. Although elderly we managed to climb into the bath for the shower. Would be nice to give us a two biscuit pack to have with our tea. Would prefer a book with tv and internet information for wi fi. Not all literate with Q codes and blue button on Tv. Lunch was very nice and enjoyable. Staff lovely.

If you are going to Suncorp Stadium or a Caxton Street venue like Lefty's Music Hall, this is the ideal place to stay. Arrive early to ensure limited hotel parking because the only other option is The Barracks which is very expensive. There are two sets of lifts in the carpark - one goes to the function area and the other to hotel reception, so make sure you read the signs. We checked in a little early and I agreed to stay in an accessible room as our room wasn't ready. Good air-con, comfortable bed, spotlessly clean and a cute little balcony. There are minimal staff who are very professional and efficient, but not particularly friendly. I had two concerns. Firstly, for an able-bodied person, the tiles in the accessible shower are VERY slippery. The shower is only surrounded by a curtain so the water spreads a fair way. We put down lots of towels to avoid an accident. I don't know how someone with a moonboot or other disability would cope. My second concern was that the decorative stones next to the balcony had cigarette butts and bottle caps which takes away some of the ambience. There was also only one lift working, but that didn't affect us at all. Overall, we had a lovely stay and we slept in because of the excellent blackout curtains. Some sites market this hotel as five star, but it is really four star. As long as you are prepared for that, this is a good, well-priced hotel.

The property itself has a lovely cosy laid back vibe and you’d never know it was a short walk from all the best entertainment that Brisbane has to offer. If you’re looking for the perfect venue for a romantic weekend break this is it. We will definitely be going back.
