I had a great experience in the hotel ,the staff and service were amazing specially Angie from the front desk she went above and beyond to make sure our trip was special.

Excellent property- room was clean and well laid out. Daily cleaning service was perfect. There was no laundry onsite. Easy walk to great restaurants and shopping!

The location was really good. Super close to the beach. McDonald’s right across the street. Walkable to city center (international marketplace, Target, bars). Pool area has nice Infiniti pool that overlooks ocean, which is really nice, but it can get pretty crowded. Elevator situation could be better, but it’s tolerable… Sometimes when there are lots of people, it could take a long time to get to your floor. It’s noticeable, but not nearly as bad as some other hotels I’ve stayed at… a minor complaint for otherwise a great hotel to stay at!

An Unforgettable Honeymoon at Halekulani Our honeymoon at Halekulani in Honolulu was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and exceptional hospitality. Housekeeping was impeccable; our room was always spotless, with thoughtful nightly treats that made each evening feel special. One of the most memorable touches was a surprise bottle of champagne to celebrate our honeymoon—such a kind and generous gesture. Poolside service was equally amazing, with staff always ready to offer a refreshing drink or towel without hesitation. Every detail at Halekulani was perfect. The service, comfort, and personalized touches made it the most memorable trip we've ever taken. We left feeling relaxed and incredibly grateful. If you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Honolulu where every moment feels special, Halekulani is the one.

The hotel is in a great location and while nothing terrible happened, don’t expect a 4 or 5 star resort as this is not it. The hotel and amenities are dated, there is no room service and basic requests were unable to accommodate ( eg quoted a charge of $50 to have a microwave to sterilize my infants bottles, could not arrange surf rental on our behalf). Overall, the staff we encountered were friendly but frankly it just didn’t seem ‘worth it’. We liked the little bakery in the morning for a muffin and a coffee but otherwise ventured off site for meals. The pool is small and the lounge chairs limited and uncomfortable (thing 90s banded loungers). Food by the pool was good. Spent most of our time eating at the Moana Surf Rider which was actually cheaper than the Royal Hawaiian and overall a better hotel in my opinion.
