GREAT STAFF AND LOCATION AND HOTEL

The hotel is a little distance from Patong Beach (although the hotel provides a shuttle bus). The hotel does not have its own beach. The hotel is beside a highway, and there are only a few restaurants nearby. It sounds as if this is not the best holiday hotel choice,right? But you just need to check in.Then you will find that this is a surprisingly good hotel.Because the hotel is located on the hillside, the sea view is very spectacular. The staff are all friendly and always have a smile.With a person with limited mobility the front desk team Joe Sordy and LOH took extra care of us. And lovely Ms.Noodang at breakfast restaurant was so kind to us.She not only explained everything in detail. And make sure our table is clean and the cups are full.She also took the initiative to recommend us and sent us the special dessert of the day. Then let's talk about the breakfast.Hotels in Thailand have never short of a good breakfast.But the breakfast at Kalima is unbelievable.Whether it is the variety or the quality of food.For example you may find bubble breakfast in many hotels.But Kalima take it to an other level.You can even make your own highball here.Such a good breakfast plus a good view what else could you ask for a holiday?

This place was great. Staff was professional and kind. Food tasted fresh/delicious especially at breakfast - great selection. Location: can be a pro and con depending on what you are looking for. We wanted closer access to the beach - not. Getting Grab or taxi was hard- choosing the cheapest price did not work on Grab. Premium provided us with a taxi. If you are planning on staying on site for your entire trip, this is a great spot. If you are not planning on doing this, not so much. Phuket traffic and distance from the beach (over 40 mins) was a hassle and draining. I would stay closer to attraction.

Nice resort with Villaa spread out over a beautiful garden. Lots of privacy if you book a pool villa, less so on the main pool as the resort is clearly better suited for families with screaming kids than for couples seeking relaxation. Buffet breakfast with great service station where you can order Asian or European dishes. View from main pool is the best feature (incredible beautiful). Overall restaurants are ok but Rawai is only a 5min cab ride away and offers better quality and scenery. Spa is ok but offers only two facials (hydration & anti-Aging). Villas are a bit outdated but the view and the private pool compensates. Location close to Rawai is an asset but beach in front of hotel is ok to watch but not for swimming (high tides and water always muddy). Majority of guests are families from Russia, Australia and UK so expect a lively conversation across sunbeds. Overall I would I would consider this more a decent 4**** and not a 5***** property. Great when you have kids, not so much for couples or solo travellers.

Very nice hotel with great views. We stayed in the Sea View Suite, which was lovely, though the view was mostly blocked by the restaurant and trees. The service was generally good, but I was surprised the hotel refused to help arrange transportation to get there. Due to an unexpected change in plans, I could only arrive for the second night of my two-night reservation. The hotel kept my booking, but when I asked for help setting up a car to get there, they said they couldn’t assist. Strangely, when we asked them to arrange a taxi to Patong Beach during our stay, they did so immediately (and charged extra of course compared to Grab) so I’m not sure why they couldn’t help with transport to the hotel. One other thing to note: the hotel is in a very quiet, remote area. If you’re looking for nightlife, Patong Beach is about an hour’s drive away, so keep that in mind.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Very good location in the middle of market. Opposite Indian restaurant for indian food. Good clean ming inside hotel and room. Peaceful environment.
