Beautiful historic hotel in a great neighborhood. The lounge and bakery were added bonuses. The only small complaints I have are I wished they had another spot for luggage in the room and a few more nice pillows on the beds. We got a couple pillows from the front desk, but they weren’t as comfy as the two on the bed.

This hotel is excessively priced for the amenities it provides. While the surrounding area is aesthetically pleasing, the hotel itself is in a state of severe disrepair. The rooms exhibit significant structural deterioration, and the overall appearance suggests a lack of attention to maintenance. The carpets are severely damaged, and the bathroom fixtures are loose and deteriorating. In summary, this hotel does not justify its high price tag. The rooftop bar was unhygienic, and I would not recommend swimming in the small pool they offer.

The photo they show of the glamorous exterior was not our hotel experience. The entire front was covered with scaffolding which was a big negative. The front staff was not very helpful or even friendly. Upon inquiring we were informed that the “hotel” is made up of individually owned apartments which are then rented out for stays. So, simple amenities you may be accustomed to such as ice makers are non-existent - a simple request to the front desk for ice went completely unanswered. It’s not the customary hotel stay which is unfortunate considering it’s a pricy place to stay. There are so many other hotel choices in the big city and I would reco any one of them over this property.

The room was sparkling clean, and the staff were all lovely. The bar doesn’t open until 4:30 pm, which was extremely odd for vacationers who are not stuck on a work schedule. The only real complaint was that the room is extremely cold-feeling: Everything is white metal or plastic—every single surface except the bed was hard and sharp cornered and chilly. The opposite of cozy or comfortable. It was very nice! Just not cozy.
