We stayed at the Art Deco Imperial in the run up to Christmas and were very happy with our stay. The room, like the rest of the hotel, was clean, modern and comfortable. The restored Art Deco features, along with a great menu, in the cafe make it a wonderful experience but it is popular with residents and non residents so well worth making reservations. The hotel is about a 15 min walk from the old town sqaure with metro, tram and bus stops nearby.

The hotel was lovely, staff are kind however when a problem arises they don’t know how to fix it.
The TV in the bathroom & bedroom were not to standard/ not working.
We made this clear to them & they did not bother to fix it or care nor offer some form of solution!
We pay the price for all of the amenities to work but they didn’t, therefore we should’ve got either money back or move our room.
Regardless, hotel was lovely … I’d recommend if you have a fully operating room!
Breakfast was good, they had a large choice of “buffet” style food & a menu with options for French toast, omelette & more.
Location was fantastic, really close to old town & all the new shopping centres.

The location is great.
The accommodation is good.
The orange juice at breakfast isn’t good - it’s watery - and the scrambled eggs you could bounce off a wall. However the rest of the breakfast was nice.
The staff are lacking charm or interest. Reception, breakfast and the bar were all the same - no warmth or willingness to engage. They just sit (Reception) or stand there (bar and breakfast ), often just flicking thru their mobile phones. They don’t seem to really want to be there - and it made me feel the same.
