Phu Quoc Island Romantic Holidays

The room was large and the view and private pool was very good. The bed wasn't very comfortable and the linens and towels were very basic. The food at breakfast and dinner was OK and reasonably priced. There were insufficient loungers by the sandy beach, others were available but it was rocky and you couldn't easily swim in the sea. Whilst there were plenty of restaurants, supermarkets and spas in the nearby village, it was a challenge to get any grab drivers to come to the hotel and you could easily wait 30mins and usually this was only because someone had been dropped off. The walk to the village was about 1.2km, but it is a little up and down and when the temperature is about 37c it isn't great. The resort has a number of golf carts which they could have used to have a regular shuttle service for guests or even charge for the service, but they restrict your use of these vehicles to your day of arrival & departure only and within the hotel area. If I return to Phu Quoc I will choose a more convenient location.

Wonderful family owned hotel, laid out in beautiful tropical gardens leading to a most gorgeous sandy and safe beach, perfect for swimming. Rooms were roomy and beautiful. Ours was a modern room, spotlessly clean and after a hectic couple of weeks travelling around Vietnam this was a perfect stay to relax and unwind. Food was superb and happy hour drinks made a perfect sunset choice. We loved it and would definitely recommend and stay here again if we return. The staff were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Thank you.

Needs a bit of maintenance but excellent and amicable staff doing everything to help!!

The resort is tired and needs a really big renovation. Loungers are breaking, and the water sports equipment is broken and they are not replacing it so there are literally no activities in the resort at all. Bathrooms are tired and not very clean. Outdoor furniture by the rooms have no cushions so too uncomfortable to be sat on. They won’t even give you an iron and want to charge for everything. Staff are friendly but need training. We ordered the kids two spag bowls one night and one arrived and the other took another 40 mins to arrive. Restaurant and resort is a bit soulless with little atmosphere. Breakfast buffet is ok. They offer an airport shuttle but apparently it was fully booked when we tried to book it. The location isn’t great - you have to order a taxi or grab to go anywhere. Nothing is in walking distance of the resort. The private beach is so small, you can’t fit a lounger on there and it disappears at high tide. This place is definitely not 4 star!!

Exquisite resort! Honestly 0 faults. Excellent service, clean, and beautiful. The pool is excellent. Plenty of chairs. Though the ones around the pool fill up, the beach has plenty with great natural palm tree shade steps away from either the pool or ocean. Food was really yummy and had a nice variety. They had a BBQ on the beach one night with great entertainment. Sunsets are incredible. Location is close to the airport but not noisy. We even had a “hill view” room facing the road but the trees blocked the view of the road and the sliding door was epically soundproof. The balcony was only good for drying clothes though so if you want to relax on the balcony I would pick an upgraded room.

This place can’t be 5 star resort. I would say 3.5. By the pool - No wi-fi connection, - No one to service hence empty cans and glasses by the beach chairs left in the morning will be there until evening. Room - they do make up your room but longer you stay, it gets more sandy. I guess they don't vacuum, - more than half of the electrical outlets had something stuck inside and could not be used, Restaurants - overall really pricy for Vietnam if you didn’t go for all inclusive package. - 4 restaurants open for dinner, Mexican, Spanish, Burger/street food, and buffet, - Mexican restaurant has really limited selections, 3 starters, 3 main dishes, 4 tacos and 1 dessert, if I remember correctly, - Spanish restaurant has more options but just ok quality, - Burger/ street food restaurant is the place we used the most. Lots of options and good quality. I don’t know if overall quality applies to different resorts in Phu Quoc, but I would not come back again to Phu Quoc. Rather go back to Phuket or Bali on my next beach holiday.
