Nice place to be, close to everything a traveller would need.

This is our second time at THE GATE HOTEL FUKUOKA by HULIC. I love this hotel as its newly built with modern finishes in the guest room. We stayed in a Corner Double Room and it's so spacious. There is a short hallway with a mirror as you walk in. The toilet/bidet is in a separate room; it has a sensor so the lid opens as you get closer. The wash room includes the wash basin, with the separate bath tub and shower sectioned off with a sealed door. The bed is huge for two people, but the pillows were fairly average as it tends to sink as you sleep. While there is no public bath (sento), the bath tub in the room makes up for it. There is also a Nespresso machine with 4 pods but we didn't use it during our stay. The breakfast here is one of, if not, the best. Freshly squeezed orange juice as you enter. You are then asked if you prefer the French toast, eggs benedict or Japanese style breakfast for your main. There is honey comb at the buffet, a teppan with a chef to cook a selection of vegetables, as well as Western and Japanese options. It is directly connected to the Tenjin subway so it's convenient. Lots of shopping options nearby so you can hop out of your room and stumble into the various malls surrounding this hotel including ONE FUKUOKA. Also lots of food options so you're spoilt for choice. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.

Great place to stay in the Nakasu area. Location is perfect and the hotel was clean and nice.

This is an excellent hotel and very convenient to do shopping. The hotel is new and beautiful, very modern setting and the people are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely come back again.

This place has a really nice lobby that gives us great intro to the city. I mean the high ceiling was beautiful and I appreciate that library like shelves and the McIntosh Soundsystem quietly playing some lounge music I like that. The cafeteria was good too, but one part that they could’ve made better was the entryway is a little crowded. Food was good and one weird thing that I really really liked was the chopsticks that they used. They were so fine light and accurate. I really like our room. Our family of four people fit in perfectly and the ambience was up-to-date, clean modern I like it. Parking the car was good too. They had a nice basement parking getting around the city easy.

There is a local tax that was unexpected and it required cash.

There is a front desk but it is unmanned. Check-in and check-out is done via a tablet and a magnet board respectively. They offer refreshing small health drinks in the entryway which was very nice! The rooms are clean, fully stocked with amenities and offer a sense of luxury for brief or extended stays. If you are unaccustomed to the size of typical Japanese hotel rooms, it is bit small but offered just enough room for 2 with a full kitchen, bathroom and balcony. The location is in a neighborhood that includes regular local businesses, schools and a brief 10 minute walk from the nearest station. Overall, a pleasant and recommended stay for anyone looking for a quiet, clean environment.

The Hotel was new, so clean and beautiful. Near to places and really good if you are going with your family.
