Placemakr was such a great option for my first time staying in New York. They were very good at communicating and they are accommodating! We were able to leave our bags at the front desk before our room was ready which was really nice so we didn’t have to have our luggage with us while we went around the city. The place feels clean and safe. As someone that was a little nervous of what areas to stay in in New York, the area where the hotel is located was nice and felt safe. It’s really close to subway stops so getting to other places in the city is easy! Would definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately, the experience didn’t match the price. We found mold in the shower and had to flag down a cleaning crew in the hallway to have it addressed. Overall, the cleanliness of both the room and the hotel left a lot to be desired. Check-in was also disappointing. The person checking us in was on a speakerphone call throughout the process, barely paying attention to us. The location is fine, but overall, definitely not worth what they charge.

The hotel is very well located and the staff are all nice. I’ve stayed before and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
My only complaint was that I called twice on the day of checkout to see if I could check out at 1pm instead of Noon. Both times I was told that I’d be called back, but I never was…
